Tomb of Crerare Building / Landmark in Erthos | World Anvil

Tomb of Crerare

The final resting place of the Archmagi Crerare. It is located in The Wilds  but no one knows its location for sure.   The Archmagi built the tomb himself because he did not want the magical artifacts he had crafted throughout his life to fall into the wrong hands. He was one of the first to discover how to imbue magic into items such as wands and staffs. In order to test those who would seek the treasures, he designed the Tomb with many elaborate trials. These trials include fearsome spirits, moral dilemmas, and traps.   It lies deep in the earth and has several floors to it. The Mystery to finding its location is a series of clues that all begin at the statue that is dedicated to him at the Order of Creationists on the Isle Of Mystrium.   Finding the tomb requires the solving of the riddle that can be found on the Statue dedicated to Crerare in the Graveyard of the Arcane .

Purpose / Function

Built as a final resting place for the Archmage Crerare.

History

It took ten years for the archmage to build the tomb using his magic and summoned Spirits. Part of this was done with an artifact that sits at the heart of the Tomb.   In the year 437, The Fen managed to open the tomb; the Adventurers of the Briar followed them into the tomb and managed to stop their Leader Zanzana from animating the Broken Army. N4-TV-R3 took the Gem of Life and animated them into the world's first Woodforged; and now they are settling in the area around the tomb.
