Village of Jade River
A small village that is bisected by the river that gives the village its name. It is the large settlements in the region, and people have begun to flock to it. To the south west of the village is a stone quarry where the natural resources are being used to build the town. It is located deep in The Wilds and it is said that it is the beacon of civilization.
Settlers from Castle Sirather were the first to come to the area and colonize it. Fortunately, they had the full backing of the nobles of Sirather and several of the first settlers were soldiers who could protect the new settlement.
Demographics
The village is mostly inhabited by younger human people, ages 20-40; families have started to grow. Other races have begun to come to the village but they are not many. Dwarves are the most prominent of the other races.
Government
The village Elders, five oldest members, govern the town. They follow the general laws of the Sirather. When there is the need for a trial over a lawbreaker, the village gathers and hears the case.
Defences
The town forms a militia in times of need, they do not have a standing army or even a village guard. There is one Sword Captian who enforces order in the town. Many of the inhabitants are trained in weapons because they live in a dangerous land.
Industry & Trade
Most of the inhabitants are farmers or work in the Quarry.
Infrastructure
It is mostly a farming town, trading with caravans that come through, but they have begun to drag up the stone from the quarry.
A horse trader from Sirather, Arisino Del Ma, has set up shop. With his knowledge he began to round up the wild horses that reside in the Wilds and making a name for himself.
History
Settlers from Castle Sirather left their town in 309 and after traveling for a year they found a nice valley at the end of a river. They decided it was the best place for them to start their new settlement.
