Maroth (MA-roth)

Maroth is the most intelligent of all the Gods. As such, he is the ruler of The
Divine Councilin The Ancient Grove. He favours followers of a learned nature; scholars, often wizards and witches due to the large amount of learning which is necessary for these pursuits. This said, however, he is not largely concerned with the mortal planes and, as such, has few followers compared to the other aligned Gods. His temples are few and hard to find. It is worth noting that this is not due to any lack of compassion for mortals, he simply recognises that he is needed more as a ruler than a deity. He has never been known to appear to mortals, only adding to his lack of following.
