Calthus (KAL-thuss)
Master of the Seas
Brother of Maroth, Calthus was banished by his older brother at a very young age for trying to gain too much power. Forced to live in the mortal planes for thousands of years during the First Millennium, he learned much of the intricate nature of the ecosystem of the seas and became at one with the waters. Eventually, Maroth saw his learning and welcomed him back to The Ancient Grove during the formation of The
Divine Council. Calthus repented for his young foolishness and respects Maroth wholeheartedly, despite their childhood disputes. He often frequents the mortal planes, as he spent much of his early life there and has something of an emotional connection with them. His followers are diverse and many report to have seen him - the forms he takes are equally variable, although he almost always appears as an aquatic creature of some kind. There are even stories of him appearing as a turtle the size of many cities.
