Strong presentment of Planar magic. She has a somewhat hard time growing up having a foreign mother on a xenophobic island, but she also has a really powerful, rich dad, so that offsets some of it. She ends up marrying the Sovereign's little brother though, so she does alright. She and her mother also "adopt" Brant who had been disowned and abandoned due to his powers.
