Public Agenda

To ensure the safety of the world from the everlasting threat of magic and the beastmen; to protect citizens from the darkness that has plagued the world.

History

Once simply a church, the Empire has risen in power to become the unified flag under which the world stands. Once meek, this now-powerful religious state encompasses most of all land across the surface of Epossia, save for the very few remaining sovereign nations off the coasts.

Demography and Population

The Empire has control over the majority of the land over the surface of Epposia, reaching as far as the edges of most continents - though there are a few settlements of hardier races that still manage to hold out against the might of the military from the Empire. Others have loose and tenuous dealings with the Empire despite their size relative to it. Due to its sheer size, the Empire has a grasp over every continent on the planet along with the Titans' backs which gives them executive control over trade via land. Thanks to their control, their populous is made up of everything from humans to orcs - no beastmen inhabit their lands save for the Drow and Oni that are enslaved to them. Their primary demographic is humans, gnomes, and dwarves, but is as varied as the races that are not persecuted on the lands above.

Military

The Empire's military is comprised of three main divisions, The Crusaders' Might, The Righteous Arrow, and The Gods' Might. In total, their military force accounts for roughly one-fourth of their total population because of the benefits offered from the Empire to those willing to risk their lives. The morale of most soldiers is low, and they don't enforce the laws as intently as the Church might like. The military is operated almost entirely by the Church's autonomy and authority, taking orders only from the Emperor himself beyond that.   The Crusaders' Might is the Empire's largest force - it accounts for at least three-fifths of the Empire's military force - and the least specialized, made up of fighters and paladins primarily, and represent their general ground forces. Each battalion of these Crusaders might have different experience or expertise than another, simply because of the lack of 'true' training regarding what they are taught. Their primary education and training comes in the way of military formation and hierarchy and little else, as they are the ones who will frequently perish on the frontlines of a skirmish or battle. There are several specialized units within the force, but most of these soldiers are generalized.   The Righteous Arrow is much more specialized from the very first step of recruitment, made up of a combination of archers and divine spellcasters, and it is rare to see open recruitment. Most of the Arrows are recruited right from their Trial, as a representation of the 'pride' of the Empire in how well they performed to get so far. In reality, this particular branch is made up of veritable indentured servitude.   The Gods' Might is the elite, often comprised primarily of those who have served the Empire for decades. The Might is stationed almost exclusively to protect the Council and the Emperor, their expertise used to ensure their continued safety. Little beyond that is publicly known about their duties and inner workings, but many have seen evidence enough to speculate that these elite are allowed a large measure of relaxation and have very low-impact duties.

Foreign Relations

What few foreign 'states' exist are forced into a tense relationship with the Empire thanks to their strict beliefs regarding magic and beastmen. Even states that are not directly a part of the Empire are treated by it as if they were and are often forced to follow the laws put into place by them.

Major Exports
The primary exports of the Empire come from the Underdark: Worldmetal, Foulmetal, Storm Bronze, and Hydronite.
Major Imports
Thanks to its immense size, the Empire has little need for imports from neighboring states. However, when certain specialized goods are in need they will contact and leverage their might against those smaller countries. This often results in cheap labor for things that they cannot produce themselves.
Legislative Body
The High Council writes all legislation in its majority, though the Emperor can override and veto their decision on a whim. In reality it is Andrezi that determines what new laws will be written and put into effect, as well as how it should be interpreted.
Judicial Body
The Church carries out any judicial needs on behalf of the Emperor and does so with joy and an iron fist.
