Heimdallr

Heimdallr is the god of Watchfulness and loyalty. He is one of the Effneki 's closest friends and brother, his unwavering loyalty inspiring total trust in his capacities. He is also often seen as the harbinger of the end, as it is said that he foresaw the mutual destruction of the First Pantheon and The first Higher Ones.
Early on already, just after his creation in fact, which was caused like with the rest of the First Pantheon from the mutual destruction and fusion of Ragdafuria, goddess of order and Avall'uch, Incarnation of chaos , Heimdallr foresaw the destruction of the gods by a plan born among their own. His stoic approach to creating his part of reality was very reminiscent of his brother Forseti, which explained the intertwining of their concepts, the law, concept of justice and their application often being born from a feeling of loyalty towards something or someone, as well as the enforcing of those concepts often going into Heimdallr's domain. The two on the other hand differed on their creations: while Forseti devoted himself fully to creating the plain of justice after having enforced his concepts, The god of watchfulness decided to spend the rest of his existence observing the universe for signs of The first Higher Ones , living what he symbolized. This passivity made him quite unpopular among the other gods besides his afore mentioned brothers, especially those who symbolized the more extreme sides of existence like Freya and Ushnabroc who saw him like a boring god or even a rival for the latter, being an antithesis of Heimdallr's principles. Nonetheless, not a single god dared question his devotion to fighting the Higher Ones on the front signs, pushing back countless attempts at intrusion into the holy domains.
In the end however, it was Heimdallr's own darkness that was his unmaking. Even though he could foresee his own end, it was inevitable. The seed of chaos is within every entity, even the most loyal ones, and it is often those who are extremely righteous who harbor extreme chaos deep within. The eons of watching the darkness let the darkness look back into the holy guard's soul, and when the time for the final battle was nigh, it was already too late for Heimdallr. The Higher Ones had already nurtured the seed of chaos within him, and when Effneki called for arms to set up the final suicidal trap, it burst. Legend has it that Heimdallr, for the first time in existence, refused the pantheon leader's orders. He threw himself straight into darkness and was consumed by it immediately, disappearing forever, not waiting for his role as a valuable warrior in his brother's plan.
This suicide of one of the most righteous entities in the universe is unexplainable to this day, and so it is widely thought that Heimdallr will come back at the end of time, when order and Chaos meet for the final confrontation. His return will symbolize the end of all things, when the universe will come back to its initial state. This is but only one theory among many, and the harbinger may never come...
