Jackson Demosthenes (a.k.a. Jax)
Jackson Demosthenes is a brashur (and not a lot of people know it but half-Porccius) apart of the Queen's Lance and goess by the codename Fox. He takes pride in fighting due to being inspired by hi father. A respectful man, Jackson is pretty introverted and likes to keep to himself, being good friends with the VANGUARD organization, specifically with Catastrophe and Eurydice. Later on, when he meets Fell, he becomes pretty close to him as well, to where he usually invited the aformentioned brashur to outings that his other guy friends will have.
He unfortunately has a horrible disease called Aesculapius Syndrome, which causes Jackson's regeneration ability to kill him. He is forced to take medication that will allow for his body to have normal regeneration so that he doesn't die from excessive healing. Unfortunately, the side effects to this medication makes Jackson extremely exhausted most of the time, and gives him food cravings even worse than what brashur already have.
Jax is usually to himself but becomes an amazing, good hearted friend that chats a lot that doesn't mind giving and giving to the people he loves. He's also a complete glutton for food. He's usually chilling in the background when out in public, only deciding to speak when he's being spoke to. Even with that, however, Jax is a fun person to talk to and gives an interesting insight to the other side of brashurs; a weird regenration ability and keeping to himself for the most part.
He is also one out of the four protagonists to OTHER | SIDE, a sub story for VANGUARD detailing his plan to tear down the ruthless king of Ni'Avan, Thoriin
Physical Description
Body Features
Jackson is described as being a bean pole, a contrast to the typical brashur body appearance. This is due to the disease he inherited from his father, which causes brashur men to have halted growth. He's noted of having a beauty mark under his left eye, just like his father. (In fact, he's essentially a copy of Plato, even down to his facial structure.)
Besides his regenerative disease, he's very healthy. He's able to take damage and send damage right back like a brashur without his disease is capable of doing. He just has to be careful.
Special abilities
Because Jackson descends from a line of brashur, the magic he uses and prefers is light magic.
As previously stated, light magical is derived from the user's willpower and belief; this means that it can be associated with holy magic, as the belief is often stemmed from the Divine Sages. However, there is a very interesting quirk to Jackson's light abilities that is very rare and sometimes said to be impossible to pull off; he can switch from non-holy light magic to holy light magic.
Plato has this ability as well, with his preference in holy light magic because of his previous paladin position. His father's military teachings from Ni'Avan has made Jackson a beast in fighting, which is why he was wasy pickings to be a part of the Queen's Lance; and that training resulted in the latter learning to switch back and forth, which makes it really useful for harming daevahs and voidseeds without causing issue to his friends who may use void magic (i.e Catastrophe) Even if he is using holy magic in battle, he's gotten very good at redirecting the magic to the enemy that he's fighting. Ontop of using light magic, Jackson is able to use pure void magic, which boils down to using pure darkness. He can also switch this to a demonic energy like switching holy energy with light, if he needs to damage non-compliant lightwardens or any other creatures of light. This is said to come from his mother, but the details of this are murky and are at best assumptions one could make. Jackson can also form whip swords out of pure light and pure darkness from his abilities. He's usually depicted with one sword, but he can spawn two and dual wield them. As usual with being brashur, Jackson has very strong physiology and can resist a lot of pain and have high regeneration, which in turn makes him stronger and more resistent to attacks, even with his disease. Apparel & Accessories
Jackson is usually wearing his Queen's Lance uniform, which looks identical to his father's old uniform and armor from when he was apart of the Ni'Avan Grand Guard.. Even the short shoulder cape that's apart of his outfit is a copy of the cape that was apart of the uniform.
For his own comfort, Jackson wears a more casual look for his uniform, with short sleeves with the main jacket, baggy jeans and his favorite pair of sneakers. This also plays into how casual his personality is too.
When he's not in his work attire, he's wearing a fur lined short jacket with long sleeves, a v neck white top, and denim jeans with knee high converse shoes.

Personal history
Jackson was a high schooler attending Dross High, having moved there for 9th grade from Oro. He didn't get to meet his best friend Catastrophe until 11th grade, where the two got along really well. Cayenne was also apart of the friend group and later after they all graduated high school did he confess his feelings to liking Jackson.
Jackson was inspired by his father's service but at the same time was appaled by the trauma that he endured with the military. He strived one day to be able to be apart of the military and do his father proud. He never thought of taking revenge for his father either; he wanted to help people. In doing so, Jackson became famous for being one of the youngest person ever to be accepted in the Queen's Lance, just slightly older than Walter when he had been intiated.
Finding out that his highschool friends (then boyfriend for one of them) had joined VANGUARD was a nice surprise, and made it easy for all of them to hang out once again between their work or on the clock during break. Even more so, Jackson became close to Eurydice, bonding over being brashur and having pretty quiet and humble personalities.

Jackson is pretty cheerful and really polite with people, but much more comfortable around his friends by being really crass with his jokes. People note him for his sleepy expression he has on his face, and the horrendous munchies he gets from his medication. He tries his best to be respectful towards his elders, a lot of his behavior reflecting from his father being such an inspiration for him. He can usually adapt to any behavior people have, but sometimes he still is startled from how other people are fine being so out even without having friends around. Otherwise, a lot of people see how introverted Jackson can be to the public; he keeps to himself and only talks when he's talked to for the most part.
Hobbies & Pets
Jackson has a fascination with collecting valuables and trading them into thrift stores or trade shops that would exchange them for either money or another rare item he wants. People like to describe him as a total magpie that can rival even Delta's tendencies to be attracted to treasure. If he doesn't find any use in going to his stores, he'll sell the valuables to people in a face-to-face transaction for cash. He usually takes the cash and puts it towards food for himself and his boyfriend.
