Fell Galliadis
Fell is one out of the four protagonists to OTHER | SIDE, a sub story for VANGUARD detailing his plan to tear down the ruthless king of Ni'Avan, Thoriin. He is an individual who is largely stoic, rarely showing any outward expression and preferring action to words. Underneath that, however, he is fiercely loyal, and harbors a massive grudge against the aforementioned king for how he betrayed the crown and stole the throne during the Fall of Wingaard.
Fell is a high-ranking member of the Knossessan armed forces, having risen to his position through skill and sheer determination. He's a fiercely powerful warrior who's proven himself time and time again both in combat and outside of it. He is also highly intelligent and is able to calculate and plan a multitude of events. He is also in a pact with Rinvel, being one of her Forged. He was childhood friends with Eurydice.
Physical Description
Body Features
Fell is extremely tall, even for a brashur. He stands at a very imposing 2.41 meters in height, or 7'11." This makes him incredibly intimidating just to look at, in conjunction with his large body musculature. His muscles are equal parts genetic and hard work, and have given him an edge in advancing through the ranks. Overall, he's best referred to as a tank of a person, easily able to withstand some of the most grievous wounds and violent blows that would give even other brashur tremendous pause.
He kept his hair longer in his youth, but has long since cut it short, most likely prompted because of his enrollment in the Ni'Avan armed forces.
Facial Features
Fell has a very prominent facial structure. Most notable is his strong jawline, along with his stern, piercing gaze. His brow ridge also has massive strength to it, and he has facial hair which complements his jawline very well. He inherited his purple eyes from his mother, who got them from her own mother.
Special abilities
Ordinarily, Fell does not have access to any kind of magic. However, as a result of his pact with Rinvel, he has the ability to use shadow fire, shadow ice, and reality magic. This reality magic is comprised of the ability to create schisms to travel anywhere on Eon (though he seems to be mostly bound to Midgard), as well as the power to spawn black holes and gravity wells which can be used to hold particularly nasty enemies in place.
Apparel & Accessories
While in Ni'Avan, Fell is rarely ever seen outside of his armor. The exception to this is when he's sleeping or on the occasional day off. Even in the case of the former, he's still likely to keep parts of it on to make it easier to put on when he wakes, or if there's a need to suit up in the middle of the night. He keeps his arms mostly unarmored for ease of swinging his greatsword, which isn't much of an issue for him due to his extreme durability.
When not on duty, whether it be for a day off or an undercover mission elsewhere on Eon, Fell wears masculine clothing. This mostly comprises of shirts with no graphics, jeans, and a pair of boots, and occasionally a jacket of some kind.
Regardless of whether he's in his armor or out, he can always be seen with three spiked helix piercings in each ear. He's had these piercings for decades now, having gotten them at the behest of his childhood best friend, who told him he would look good with them.
Specialized Equipment
In battle, Fell is capable of using several different kinds of weapons, but his preferred weapon is a mighty greatsword which he swings with beautiful mastery. There are rumors that he may have another weapon that he doesn't showcase publicly, but these are unsubstantiated.

Personal history
Fell was born in Ni'Avan not too long after Carodyne. Their families ended up becoming friends with each other, which meant that the two would very quickly become close from an early age. Fell and Carodyne were as thick as thieves, often spending their days together. Whether it was clowning around in class while their elderly teacher droned on, hanging out in their favorite local diner, or just sitting together under a Void apple tree, it was more difficult to not see them side by side in some manner.
This continued well into their teenage years, when it came closer to time for Carodyne to prepare to take the throne. Even as she spent her days in boring "princess class", they always made time for each other. It came closer and closer with each passing day, and it would be mere days before her coronation that she appeared on edge around him. It was clear to him that there was something on her mind, which came to a head when he finally asked her what was wrong. Before she could tell him, she was called home by her family.
That same night, the Fall of Wingaard happened.
Fell was left sitting among the rubble, fire, and ash as Wingaard burned around him. He saw those he knew dying or dead all around him, and the perpetrators rode off into the night to continue their rampage. Among them was Thoriin, who appeared to be the ringleader. His grudge against the man was born that night and blossomed in the coming days, during which martial law was declared following Thoriin's "coronation", a paltry attempt to appear to keep peace.
From there, Fell went about formulating a plan to get closer to Thoriin so that he could topple him the way the false king had done to Carodyne's family. It took many years of rising through the ranks of the Knossessan armed forces, but Fell has become a prominent general who has gained Thoriin's trust. He appears passive and compliant towards him, but underneath that, his wrath burns, and his desire to right the wrongs of the past never wanes.
Along the way, Fell came into contact with Rinvel, who became interested in him through his machinations in the armed forces. She came to him in a dream wherein she drew him to the Void apple tree that he once used to sit under with Carodyne. It was here that she proposed gifting him some of her abilities in exchange for forging a pact with her. This pact would allow him to achieve his goals with even greater ease, and she in turn would gain power from his accomplishments. It was a deal he accepted with no hesitation, and he was given his arcana card by his new patron.
He would also come to enter into an affair with Delkarthi at some point. Thoriin had just left her to go on tour as he often did, and Fell appeared to her without a sound or a word. Delkarthi, being afraid of the dark, assumed he was a Voidseed there to kill her. However, after he assuaged her fears and simply stayed to talk to her, it was clear that the two had made a connection, which only blossomed more as he visited her more. The two engaged in a full-fledged affair during his third visit, and would continue to see each other from then on. Whenever Thoriin was away, Fell would see Delkarthi, and he would give her everything Thoriin never did.

Growing up in a well-off family, Fell had access to some of the best schooling possible. In addition to his natural intelligence, this schooling amplified his education even further. He is objectively one of the smartest minds Ni'Avan has ever seen, with many military minds and scientists even coming up short in comparison.
Accomplishments & Achievements
- Has risen through the ranks of the Knossessan military with high honors and accolades, to the point of becoming a general, which is the highest rank one can achieve within the organization.
- Led countless charges against Voidseed infestations that have appeared along the fringes of Knossessan territory. These have resulted in very few, if any, casualties in his ranks and the Voidseeds taking substantial losses.
- Has amassed a grand web of resources and agents which help him to build up a wide array of options to utilize in eventually taking down the false king who sits on the throne of Ni'Avan.
Mental Trauma
Fell does his best to not try to let anything bother him for too long, and is almost always successful. The only lingering event which still troubles him to this day is the Fall of Wingaard, due to how sudden it was and the fact that he wasn't able to find or defend Carodyne. Instead, he was left standing amidst rubble and ashes as Wingaard burned around him. It haunts him, and it's what drives him to uproot everything Thoriin has wrought.
Morality & Philosophy
Fell's morality can be dubious at times, as he will do whatever he can to undermine Thoriin and those closest to him. He is not above sabotage or demoralization, and has gone as far as cuckolding many of Thoriin's most loyal supporters, seducing their wives and impregnating them. He has humiliated many of them in duels, many of which involved him being the one being challenged just to "put him in his place".
However, while he may be ruthless and unforgiving to those who earn his ire, he does have a softer side, one that allows him empathy and good moral judgment. He will not, for example, harm children, even those coming from families loyal to Thoriin. He also will not kill those who do not need to be killed. He only fights challenges to the death when his opponent demands for it. He is also very protective of those under his command and those who are in vulnerable or compromising situations.

Being a member of the Knossessan armed forces, Fell has connections to many of his fellow soldiers, as well as being trusted by Thoriin himself. He also has a network of individuals and resources which he keeps in reserve in the event he can finally launch a rebellion of his own against the king.
Outside of that, he has a close, personal relationship with Queen Delkarthi, having started a secret affair with her in decades past. He is most often with her whenever Thoriin is away on tour, and the two of them are incredibly careful so as to not get caught by any of Thoriin's most loyal soldiers.

Religious Views
Unlike many other brashur under Thoriin's reign, Fell believes in the Divines as a whole, not just Opeitos. He knows what Thoriin has done to the religion is farcical and refuses to believe in that version in any capacity.
