Belphie Mendacia
Belphie Mendacia is a large jötunn living in Dross and working as a Queen's Lance member by the codename Sloth. She is the daughter to the sun god Opeitos, with her mother being a human woman from Skaalsborg. Because she is jötunn, she has access to hexes, curses and strong giant magic, however she's never been put into the position to use them. She had gotten the tattoos done on her and considers that one of the most precious things she loves to talk about when people bring it up. When she's not running on missions with Queen's Lance, she usually takes a vacation break to live with her mother for a while in Skaalsborg.
Belphie really puts "gentle giant" in the spotlight with how she is as a person. People know her by her cheery, soft voice that has little cracks in it, showing up even more when she's laughing or getting excited.She's very caring and her memory is fantastic, allowing for her to recall events from way past the time most people would forget. She even helps Jackson take his medication by keeping an extra dose on her person at all times. And she is always the first person to notice something wrong and asking someone if they're okay.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Belphie is described as a sort of thick pillow due to jötunn lineage making her massive. She still has quite the ravenous appetite for a daughter of a divine, and can put back a lot of food relatively easy. Some people love to joke that she's the "female equivalent of Cayenne".
The first thing that upon notice is the very long waves of blonde hair, a staple of people up north due to Opeitos' influence. The hair is usually accompanied with beautifully intricate braids woven into the sides and follow down the rest of her hair - another staple of people from the north. The second thing is her rather large front and back. Even with the correct size of clothes, because of her size and how much activity she has, there's still strain with what she wears (thankfully it stretches). Her tattoos were done when she was a rather young age, using the same mystical ink that all jötunn could use. The pattern she wanted was in honor of her father and how his runes look when he's taking on his ancient Jötunn appearance.
When she casts magic in any kinds, her eyes and the runes glow a bright, ice blue and the more force she's putting into it, the brighter they'll glow.
Special abilities
Belphegor prefers using pole axes when she's fighting, along with her ice magic if needed. While she holds her staff in attack position, she doesn't necessarily use it. She's moreso used for her healing and defensive position, keeping behind others and shielding them. She only attacks if they're not capable of finishing the fight.
Once again, Belphie inherited her father's characteristics in magic; hexes and curses. These are powerful skills and are not just used at will. Someone would have offended Belphie, her family or even loved ones to the point where she wants nothing to do with them and also have their life miserable. This is not just rare but something that would never happen. Even low life criminals she's had to turn in didn't invoke an ire like that, and she's handled very nasty criminals.
Belphie's specialization in jötunn magic allows her to consume hexes, curses and malevolent seals. She usually does this if a criminal somehow managed to their hands on the specific kind of magic and she needs to clear the area. How she does this and what happens to the magic is unknown.
Apparel & Accessories
Belphie's fashion outside of her Queen's Lance uniform is described as being something she will want to go out and run in if she throws shoes on but can also crash onto her bed and pass out in. She usually wears a short dress to cover herself up for comfort, but it's not uncommon to see her undo her denim jackets. Mismatching apparel on her legs and arms are common to see her in, like the two different socks she wears, while everything else matches. However, this is more common to see in winter time.
She never leaves the house without her ribbons tied into her Skaalsborgian braids, as they were gifts from her father that she's maintained over the years.

Personal history
Belphie is one of the many children of Opeitos'. Not much is known about her, as she's very quiet about herself and cares more about other people. The most people know about her is she's a half-giant, works for the Queen's Lance and tries her best not to bump into peolle while crouching under doors to get around.
Her initiation apart of the Queen' Lance is curiously a while ago before the story starts; again, nobody really knows but it's implied she had been around for several years. If she is much older than she is, her baby face betrays her age.
She loves hanging around the others when she gets the opportunity to and many of the civilians living close to the headquarters always have something positive to say about her. She will always be the first person to say hello to someone.

Belphie has only a high school degree and no interest in pursuing higher education due to her laziness.
Employment
Currently, Belphie wears some hats, and it surprises people considering she's known for being so exhausted.
The first is obviously her Queen's Lance position. Belphie is the designated healer and keeps the other members fighting on their feet. If they seem to be in a pickle, she will join in to fight as well, but she isn't too much of a fan to direct fighting. She also likes to do paperwork, including other people's when she doesn't want to go out.
The secons employment she will bring up is her working at Tethys' pet store. Having an immense love for fish, Belphie loves to help customers out by choosing the perfect aquatic pet to help keep company, and will get super enthusiastic about sharing information. Though she is very well versed with a lot of animals and pets, fish is her favorite and water gives her a sense of calmness.
When she's not working in the pet store or fighting in Queen's Lance, she's investing in a few businesses. A business she is particularly fond of is a very lax cafe called 53rd Street. The cafe is situated in Fallkirk, a city a 20 minute drive away from Dross and known for its lowkey atmosphere. The cafe specializes in comfort foods like hot chocolate, soup, stews, while tables and chairs can be converted into beds, bean bags or resting tables to consume people's orders in their laps. She adores watching it grow and she's a frequent patron herself.

Even though Belphie can be a very fun person to hang around, she shows her shyness when she encounters a large number of people she's not familiar. Sometimes she'll ennd up lying to avoid social interactions if its a massively large gathering, feeling like she'll stick out as a sore thumb due to towering over everyone. She shares this shyness with Calamity and the two hang out quite a lot.
Despite this, Belphie is very sweet and kind, and doesn't like to step on people's toes, so to speak. She does have the confidence in herself with being able to carry conversations with people she's familiar with. Her mother's own formality and kindness shines through Belphie, making her a very thoughtful and sharing woman.
Hobbies & Pets
Belphie has a massive aquarium that spans a good section of her apartment and has all of the things and more that sea life needs. She takes very good care of it and holds many fish of all kinds that thankfully get along with each other very well. Feeding them is her favorite part of the day and she especially loves to give them a "good morning" and sprinkle in their feed.
Apart of fish care, Belphie loves to do reviews over snacks or foods, usually with Cayenne helping her try things out. She has an entire vlog dedicated to reviewing snacks and even recipes on how to imitate favorites people like to eat. If she has the time, she'll dedicate a few days over making multiple videos. She's one of the more popular influencers, and she almost treats it like a second job in some cases.
She doesn't consider him a pet like her fish but Belphie has a familiar Frost Wolf she received when she was a little girl, made immortal by her father. He is super affectionate with her and keeps her safe by acting a guardian. He'll run back and forth from Skaalsborg to Jotunheim and back to Dross, but he's always there in case she needs help.
