Colonel Altea
Little is known about James Altea (*641 in Den Brug) other than that his parents either had the money or connections to secure him a spot in the esteemed Ramerian Military College, securing him a post in the Ramerian Army a mere year after the start of the Xingqin War when hostilities started to temporarily quiet down again and an armistice seemed likely.
He managed to distinguish himself by succeeding against superior numbers through defeats in detail, making the upper Echelons of Generals eager to promote him, grasping at any possibility of gaining the upper hand in the war.
Despite supposedly being one of the engineers of the plan that would later be known as the Godhammer and the only low-ranking military officer to be an advisor to Emperor Frederick II himself, he was absent when it was actually detonated.
The rather young Colonel has slick blond hair which is usually styled back, wearing a military uniform despite mainly taking the role of a civilian Administrator.
Only towards the end of the war can a minor note be found reading merely 'Present at High General Staff Meetings' without further elaboration.
After serving as a military leader in many of these initial small-scale invasions he was offered the title of Merchant Lord together with a sizable trade fleet, yet he turned the offer down, allegedly proclaiming that he is not yet done serving the newly formed Republic.
As a result, he was instead appointed as the Minister for Interior Security, not only handling potential rebels and separatists but also traitors that work against Grand Vailia. Due to his military background and rather militaristic style of managing the ministry, it is often referred to as the , which some conspiracy theorists claim to be the real power behind the Ducal Council.

Military Records
Any notes on personality or interpersonal relationships have either always been absent from his files or meticulously removed since then, merely detailing a career of above-average educational success succeeded by countless reports of skirmishes against the Xingqin.Only towards the end of the war can a minor note be found reading merely 'Present at High General Staff Meetings' without further elaboration.
