Emperor Frederick II
Frederick II (*599 in Azgaar) was the last regent of the Ramerian Empire and the Supreme General during The Xingqin War. He also personally signed the order to detonate the Godhammer, resulting in the later dissolution of his Empire.
On the 7th of , he signed a document officially acknowledging the Dissolvement of the Ramerian Empire and his own resignation. He then went into a self-imposed exile somwhere within the Ramerian Remnant, the remaining military arm of the old Empire, yet he refused any leading role.
On the mainland he is mainly known as the Traitor Emperor and most people blame him for the Godhammer and the destruction it caused.
On his 16th birthday, he was awarded the Duchy of Sushire from his father, the Emperor, for leading a small detachment and crushing a group of bandits. He has proven himself to be a competent leader during that time and is still liked by many of the inhabitants of Sushire to this day.
Frederick's reign was mainly a stable one - he managed to deal with various crises and placate the people of his realm, leading them into a time of relative prosperity. However, he was often criticised for being too weak and retaining a too small army, a fact that would soon proof fatal.
A grown up Karl managed to reaquire various titles from houses that supported his father and blamed Frederick for his death, promising his downfall. While he was constantly plotting against the aging Emperor, his plans would never come to fruition as his reign was cut short through The Xingqin War.
When the Xingqin first invaded, the Ramerian military was in no shape to stand up to them and rapidly lost small islands to the invaders and had to endure the raid of multiple coastal towns on the mainland.
In an emergency meeting, he managed to mobilise large parts of the Ramerian Nobility and not only started pushing the invaders back, but also to build a standing army to match the oncoming Xingqin hordes.
The war dragged on for almost eight painful years, resulting in massive losses for the Ramerians. The war-weary Emperor turned to the priests and Correspondents for a solution, and one particular scholar developed a theory that would later turn into the Godhammer. This weapon was supposed to deal a lot of damage over a large area, however the scholar fataly underestimated its power, and when Frederick gave the order to detonate it, large parts of both armies were completely destroyed.
It is reported that the Emperor broke down upon seeing this and fell to his knees, begging the gods for forgiveness.
His current location is unknown, as is the fact whether he is even still alive.
