Harbourhaven

As the esteemed capital of Peradua, Harbourhaven stands as a majestic testament to the elemental harmony embraced by the Djinasi. Nestled along the shores of the Peraduan Straits, this coastal metropolis radiates a sense of dignified grandeur. With opulent architecture reflecting the union of earth, air, fire, and water, Harborhaven's skyline echoes the Elemental Union's core principles.   As the political epicenter, Harborhaven houses the Elemental Council and governmental institutions, where decisions shaping the fate of Peradua are made. The city's layout is a meticulous dance of elemental aesthetics, creating an immersive environment where the very air crackles with elemental energy. Harborhaven serves not only as a seat of power but also as a cultural hub, hosting ceremonies, rituals, and events that reinforce the unity and strength of the Djinasi civilization.   The harbor bustles with activity, welcoming trade vessels and naval fleets that navigate the Elemental Union's waters. Amidst the blend of tradition and progress, Harborhaven stands as a beacon of the Djinasi's commitment to balance, diplomacy, and the perpetuation of their elemental legacy.

Defences

Besides being possessed of one of the greatest Red Age armouries in the world, Harbourhaven is located within a day's travel of the home bases of all of the Djinasi Legions, which rotate through defensive duties in the city.

Infrastructure

Most of Harbourhaven's streets are planned and paved, with standard thoroughfares around 15m wide, although those not intended for moving military machines can be as narrow as 5m. Where the city is not designed for direct access, (off the main roads) passages are designed to confound speed of movement and better conduct geomantic energies toward the city's defense.

In wealthier neighbourhoods, dwellings are spacious and well-appointed, furnished with private wells and domestic plumbing with connections to public sewage. In poorer districts, inhabitants draw from a single municipal well (which is inspected monthly by city officials) and have dump access to public sewers via the public toilets.

Assets

Harbourhaven sits at the entrance to a cave system which extends far out into the salt caverns under the lake. These deposits of high-quality salt are the largest in Hyperborea, and are the chief source of Peradua's mineral wealth.

Architecture

Housing is standardized here, although each of the districts presents its own variations on the theme. Most residential buildings are flat-roofed, with dwellings laid out around a central courtyard or plaza garden where guests are recieved, food is prepared, and daily chores are performed.
