Ranalis

(a.k.a. The Psychic)


Ranalis is an aspect of Raegeric and is both mental and physical—it is a bridge. It revolves around the mind space, psychic and psionic power, and the general energy of the mind itself. While other aspects can connect to and influence a lifeforms mind space, it is Ranalis who generates this space for each individual. It also connects all mental aspects together. Ranalis is essentially thought and consciousness itself. They are also a connection between this energy and the physical world, allowing the two interact with each other and exert influence.

Racial Manifestations



When Raegeric gifted all lifeforms with their magic, each life form was capable of receiving two gifts. Each of these blessings would grant the lifeform a connection to a specific aspect and this connection could be utilized in a given way. These gifts were passed down to their descendants as well and eventually beings came to call these gifts Racial Magic. These are named by the aspect a caster is connected to and by how they can use it, how they manifest their connection.

Manifestations

Manipulation
Physical: Capable of telekinesis and can manipulate the functions of a target's nervous system. However, this ablity quickly eats up energy.
Mental:Able to manipulate or direct people's thoughts and mind spaces. The target can fight back or even access the caster's mind as well dependong on their willpower/skill. The most talented of these casters are essentially capable of mind control but for this they need strong conviction.

Aura
Physical: Can generate a specific kind of psychic ability for their own use or grant this power to those around them. The kind differs by caster.
Mental: Able to summon or generate artificial thoughts and push them into the minds of target. Whether they know these are artificial depends on the skill of the caster.

Movement
Physical:Able to teleport from person to person by rapidly jumping between mind spaces linked by Ranalis' Plane.
Mental: Capable of leaving their own body behind in a form of astral projection. They can travel freely through the physical world unhindered until they return to their body.

Eye
Physical: Can see the nervous systems of all organisms in their environment even through obstructions. Can observe the activity and state of these nervous systems.
Mental: Able to see the surface thoughts of those around them as an aura or glean information about these thoughts and emotions by staring into a target's eyes.

Sense
Physical: Can sense the nervous systems of all organisms in their environment even through obstructions. Can feel the activity and state of these nervous systems.
Mental: Can sense the surface thoughts of those around them or glean more information about them by touching the target.

Skin
Can generate a telekinetic field around their body for protection, repelling objects and deflecting some energies.

Touch
Physical: Can heal, numb or even sever nerves with their touch, without any need to break skin or touch them direclty. They are also able to see or sense the nerves of a target.
Mental: Can experience clairvoyance related to the people or objects they touch, tapping into memories of the dead stored within Yggdrasil. They can use this to look into the history of what they touch and sometimes the future, if only in broken up peices.

Push
Able to levitate other objects or even themselves, pushing and pulling with psychic energy to defy gravity.

Imprint
Can mark a number of people. Able to communicate telepathically with these people and sense their location wherever they go.

Shadow
Able to project illusions of their own or a target's thoughts, to share them both visually and audibly. Thought projection.

Binding
Able to bind a target from experiencing a specific thought, feeling or remembering a specific memory or they can bind a specific memory to a target's mind so it cannot be forgotten.

Mind
In a meditative state, the caster can mentally enter a target's mind space. They can experience thoughts, emotions and even memories of this target but open themselves up to the same.

Vision
Able to enter a meditative state in which the caster can explore and peek through portals or windows within Ranalis' Plane.

Apathy
Can temporarily turn off a target's ability to think, feel or remember anything. The target's mind will go blank while this is in effect and they will act impulsively and chaotically.

Empathy
Can connect to the minds of all those around them experiencing their thoughts, emotions and memories, either just skimming the surface or delving further with effort. Can also link the minds of targets together and allow them access to each other's thoughts and emotions during the duration. They are unhindered by foreign languages, reading thoughts in their purest forms. Essentially telepathy and shared telepathy.

Shield
Immune to all mental magics from any element and immune to all of Ranalis' magic.

Step
Allows the caster to physically enter Ranalis' Plane, using themselves as a portal, and explore the plane. They can enter all mental spaces connected to the plane but this can be extremely dangerous.
