Kanilwyr
Kanilwyr is an aspect of Lithmor and is the embodiment of knowledge, truth and memory. She is a mental aspect and exists within Kanilwyr's Plane. Overall, she represents knowledge but other concepts in her domain are honesty, revelation, memory and memorization. She is a prized aspect among scholars but is mistakenly perceived as truth when in reality, she represents what people believe to be truth or what is common knowledge--information which is known and is in circulation. She also represents honesty, the revelation of secrets and general open-ness. Meanwhile, all lost, forgotten, concealed or misperceived knowledge falls under her counterpart Irkath. |
Kaithur |
During the Era of Legends, the Erlithmanil gifted residents of Emynea with their magic. Over time, every lifeform on Emynea came to inherit two of these blessings. Passed down from parent to child genetically, they came to call these gifts Kaithur. Kaithur are named by the aspect a caster is connected to and by how they can use it--how they manifest their connection. Knowledge magic is common, especially in northern @Flumen Pontem, Sesli Plato and in Flumen Pontem. Highly prized by scholars and mages, those wield it tend to gain quirks or tendencies mirroring Kanilwyr herself! |

Those with Kanilwyr's Aura are able to influence the knowledge and belief of those around them, making them more suggestable to believing or accepting information as truth. |
Shadow | Voice |
Kanilwyr's Shadow can induce or craft visions or hallucinations from Kanilwyr's Plane. They don't have control over what is seen, simply tapping into random memories or knowledge stored in the plane. |
Kanilwyr's Voice
can perfectly recite any written work they have read without needing to memorize them and can perfectly quote anything anyone says to them. With practice, they can even quote anything a target has heard too! |
Eye | Sense |
Those with Kanilwyr's Eye Able to see truth and honesty, or when someone is recalling a memory, as an aura or glean information about these facts or memories by staring into a target's eyes. |
Casters with Kanilwyr's Sense can sense whether someone is being honest and truthful and can experience a memory with someone as they recall it by touching them. |
Diet | Will |
Kanilwyr's Diet can absorb and consume facts, information andmemories, using it to replenish magic energy, to heal or as sustanance! Any memory or information they consume is stored in their mind as if it were their own, either being experiences or expertise in a subject. The caster is also immune to knowledge magic, absorbing it instead. |
The caster of Kanilwyr's Will can enhance and empower the magic of others by exchanging information! By sharing a fact, memory, revelation or sliver of knowledge they can dramatically amplify other casters' magic. |
Mind | Vision |
Those with Kanilwyr's Mind are able to enter a meditative state, mentally entering the target's mind space connected to Kanilwyr. They can experience thoughts, emotions and even memories stored here but cannot access the rest of the target's mind space but this mind space is the most expansive. |
Casters with Kanilwyr's Vision Able to enter a meditative state in which the caster can explore and peek through portals or windows within Kanilwyr's Plane. Kanilwyr does not allow the caster to access memories of other beings without permission. |
Empathy | Apathy |
Casters with Kanilwyr's Empathy can temporarily connect the minds of targets and allow them access to each other's memories and knowledge. |
Those with Kanilwyr's Apathy can temporarily turn off a target's ability to access their memories or knowledge, causing amnesia for the duration, or can select specific memories to block. |
Shield | Touch |
Casters with Kanilwyr's Shield are immune to all Kanilwyr magic and can turn off their own access to their memories and knowledge. | Most casters with Kanilwyr's Touch can project illusions of their own or a willing target's memories. A rarer version allows the caster to assess the true nature of those they touch, to learn everything about them and a summation of their memories. The second variant only appears in the Houses in Nihon Retto. |

Casters with Kanilwyr's Binding are able to bind all facts, knowledge and memories to their mind endlessly, remembering everything perfectly at will. | Kanilwyr's Step allows the caster to physically enter Kanilwyr's Plane, using themselves as a portal, and explore the Plane. They can enter mental spaces connected to the plane, but this can be extremely dangerous. |

Kanilwyr is the embodiment of and mental expression of knowledge, truth, honesty and memory. All knowledge is a part of her, an extension of her and her power. Kanilwyr is capable of sensing, seeing or otherwise perceiving the memories and kowledge stored within every mind. She can even glean a person's history and past, carefully storing away memories of the living into her library until they die, at which point these memories are passed to Elbixur. Finally, like many mental aspects, Kanilwyr is able to feed off of knowledge, truth and memories as they occur, each having their own unique flavor.
As a mental aspect, she is unable to enter the physical world, existing only within the minds of Emyneans and within her plane. She can enter dreams and memories of anyone! However, she can only view the world through the minds and memories connected to her plane and all knowledge magic still pulls from her as their source. |
Known vs Unknown |
There is an unseen but constant tug of war, a concession of knowledge, between Irkath and Kanilwyr! They each share one half of a total omniscient, passing between them depending on what is known and what currently unknown to humanity, between what is concealed and what is common knoweldge. All known, circulated knowledge automatically belongs to Kanilwyr while all lost, forgotten or misperceived knowledge alongside secrets, lies, deceptions and the unknown falls belongs to Irkath. If information is concealed, it also belongs to Irkath. Finally, while Kanilwyr connects to the part of a person's mind that contains knowledge and memories of the living, Irkath connects to one's subconscious and to those memories which are forgotten or even repressed. |
