Kanilwyr

(a.k.a. Knowledge)


Kanilwyr is an aspect of Lithmor and one of the mental aspects. Kanilwyr consists of honesty, revelation, common knowledge, memory, memorization and knowledge itself in general. This is a prized aspect among scholars and they often confuse this aspect with 'truth'. Kanilwyr's knowledge falls under that which people believe to be truth or what is common knowledge. All lost, forgotten, concealed or misperceived knowledge falls under their counterpart, Irkath. Kanilwyr's knowledge generally consists of that which is known and in circulation and the information a person remembers or has memorized. It is also related to honesty, the revelation of secrets or information and general mental open-ness.

Kanliwyr's manifestations are common, especially in northern Alkelbulan and in the canyon complex beneath the Grand Mesa. It is prized by scholars and mages. Those who wield it, Racial Magic or otherwise, tend to possess certain quirks or tendencies which imitate those parts of Lithmor Kanilwyr encapsulates.

Racial Manifestations



When Lithmor gifted all lifeforms with her magic, each life form was capable of receiving two gifts. Each of these blessings would grant the lifeform a connection to a specific aspect and this connection could be utilized in a given way. These gifts were passed down to their descendants as well and eventually beings came to call these gifts Racial Magic. These are named by the aspect a caster is connected to and by how they can use it, how they manifest their connection.

Manifestations

Manipulation
Able to manipulate a target's memories or knowledge, pulling them forward or restricting them, or aid a target in retaining new information.

Aura
Able to influence the knowledge and belief of those around them, making them more suggestable to believing or accepting information as truth.

Shadow
Able to induce or craft visions or hallucinations from Kanilwyr's Plane. They don't have control over what is seen, simply tapping into random memories or knowledge stored in the plane

Eye
Able to see truth and honesty, or when someone is recalling a memory, as an aura or glean information about these facts or memories by staring into a target's eyes.

Sense
Can sense whether someone is being honest and truthful and can experience a memory with someone as they recall it by touching them.

Binding
Able to bind all facts, knowledge and memories to their mind endlessly, remembering everything perfectly at will.

Mind
Able to enter a meditative state, mentally entering the target's mind space connected to Kanilwyr. They can experience thoughts, emotions and even memories stored here but cannot access the rest of the target's mind space but this mind space is the most expansive.

Vision
Able to enter a meditative state in which the caster can explore and peek through portals or windows within Kanilwyr's Plane. Kanilwyr does not allow the caster to access memories of other beings without permission.

Apathy
Can temporarily turn off a target's ability to access their memories or knowledge, causing amnesia for the duration, or can select specific memories to block.

Empathy
Can temporarily connect the minds of targets and allow them access to each other's memories and knowledge.

Shield
These casters are immune to all Kanilwyr magic and can turn off their own access to their memories and knowledge.

Touch
The common version allows a caster to project illusions of their own or a willing target's memories. A rare version allows the caster to assess the true nature of those they touch, to learn everything about them and a summation of their memories. The second variant only appears in the royal line of Nippon.

Step
Allows the caster to physically enter Kanilwyr's Plane, using themselves as a portal, and explore the Plane. They can enter mental spaces connected to the plane, but this can be extremely dangerous.
