History
Nestled in a quieter corner of Oakreach , the Silvershade is a humble but reliable blacksmith shop, known for crafting sturdy weapons, armor, and woodsman tools. Sworn to House Evergreen This Though it lacks the grandeur of famed city forges, it has earned a steady reputation among hunters, rangers, and local adventurers for its unique ability to work with rare woods alongside traditional metals.
The forge was founded by Thalric Silvershade, a hardworking blacksmith who discovered that certain enchanted organic materials like Ashwood, Ghostbark, Silverwood, Venomleaf, and Leystone Bark could be shaped and reinforced like metal. (See Rare Crafting Materials ) Through trial and error, he learned to craft weapons that held some of the woods original properties:
Unlike legendary forges run by master smiths in Helenon and Hammerfall Mines Silvershade Forge is more down-to-earth. Runa Silvershade, Thalrics daughter, runs the forge today, balancing her father’s unique craft with the everyday work of shoeing horses, repairing tools, and forging simple swords for mercenaries. She keeps a small stock of rare crafted weapons, but gathering the materials is difficult, and she often has to trade favors or overpay wandering traders to restock.
The forge isn’t wealthy, nor does it attract noble patrons other than House Evergreen . Its a working-class smithy, run by a skilled but practical blacksmith who does what she can to keep her fathers craft alive. For the right price and a bit of patience Runa can still forge something special. But most of her customers just need a sturdy plow and thats exactly what she gives them.
