Clan Deepkind
Clan Deepkind gets its origins from exile, having been forced out of their mountain home after one of their members stole a gem that rightfully belonged to the king of their fallen hold in Valtkos Arany. Valtkos Arany has long since been lost, but Clan Deepkind has thrived and prospered. In the hundreds of years since their exile, they initially became a clan of smugglers and organized crime, competing with the Vovoi in Alsona. They were successful in holding their own against the Vovoi and carved out a name for themselves by smuggling dwarves into and across Alsona, bringing them work that they would otherwise be unable to receive. After the Wingo War, Clan Deepkind migrated into Valtkos Wingo, becoming one of the leading clans, and most powerful group after the king himself.
Public Agenda
Clan Deepkind maintains their position as being loyal supporters of High King Dalmus Grimboot and his absolute authority over Valtkos Wingo. They offer their complete support to his agendas and rarely bring forth proposals and initiatives of their own. They also advocate for dwarven superiority over other races within the kingdom, and maintain their position that the human spirit needs to be tempered by the dwarven forge, to prevent wars and loss of life. They also provide ample employment and opportunities for humans and dwarves alike throughout the kingdom. The only point of contention with the monarchy is the refusal of Clan Deepkind to consider abandoning the old pantheon for the Church of Keshush which has swelled in popularity among the Wingo dwarves.
Assets
The Deepkinds are the wealthiest and most influential clan in Valtkos Wingo. They have the ear of the High King and vast funds from centuries of organized crime in Alsona. They also have a multitude of loyal retainers and civilian employees. They have enough muscle to deploy multiple regiments of their own, but only would do so as a militia. Their stocks of gold have since been shipped into a vault in Wingo itself, and the Deepkinds have plenty of money to offer anyone who would decide to work for them. They also possess estate holdings in Efimiros, Tinnt, and Valtkos Wingo itself. They are also the only dwarven clan to be allowed to maintain a embassy of their own in the Tenashi Kingdom.
