Dragios Ruins - Egoni

Laboratories for studying local fauna and flora, as well as seeking out DNA compatible species for experiments. Many of the buildings have helical architecture, where the doors are marked with signs that can only been seen if one's vision incorporates UV light. The inside of the structures are often set in rings, with the outermost ring being maintenance and the center being a garden.   Many a explorer has complained of the maze-like inner rings, that swirl into one another like the radii of the golden ratio.

Purpose / Function

Many of the ruins used to be experimental laboratories. Most of the technology within the ruins used holographic devices, crystals that served as light sources, and data cubes that require the Dragios nanotechnology to decrypt. Vats of Nanines are housed in the perimeters of the maze-like ring structures of the often one-story buildings.   Some of the rings were obviously pens to hold various fauna and experimental subjects, and other rings were the experimental biology labs. Each ruin has a central garden with the top dome either intact or caved in from some disaster after abandonment near the beginning of the Silence Era.   Egoni laboratories were the first to be liberated from the Dragios scientists by the Dragios Rebels.

History

The ruins on the continent of Egoni were structured differently than ruins on the other continents of Elivera. These ruins are mostly underground, and the walls of rings hold large puncture wounds. The walls for the pens were torn down and long tables and chairs fitted into the rooms instead. Traces of fabric adorn the wall, some rotted away, but others still clinging to bits of the metal walls and still glowing crystals that provide light to the innards of the ruins.   Egoni Dragios laboratories were taken over by the Dragios Rebels, and much of the scientific use for the labs were torn apart to create space for living, medical bays, and manufacturing. The labs expanded into underground shafts, where small towns thrived, and where the rebels planned their liberation of humanity. The tools and remnants of the people who lived in these ruins were a mixture of Dragios, human, and people who show traits of both species.
