The Sundering of Courts is the name of the Fey Civil war which resulted in the split of the Fey Alliance / Alliance of Courts with
Lolth and
The Queen of Air and Darkness once again forming their own courts and realms from below
Corellon Larthian.

The Day of Sundering
The Sundering of Courts began on the
The First Green and Pleasant Day - a day known as
'The Day of Sundering' to those who follow the Elven calendar. It marks the first day of the second Fey civil war (Also known as the Second Seldarine War). Although the events of the
The Great Summit and the First Green and Pleasant Day acted as catalysts, they are far from the only reason that the courts split. Never the less the war began; the first strike of which came from the hands of
Lolth who attempted to once again assassinate
Corellon like she had done in the original war of the Seldarine.
Corelon was heavily wounded by Lolth and the first retaliatory engagement was leaded by
King Oberon of the Seelie Court who managed to capture
Vhaeraun, Lolth's Son. the involvement of the Seelie Court in what was at first only a '
Seldarine Issue' enraged
The Queen of Air and Darkness. She discovered where
King Oberon and her Sister
Queen Titania were hiding the captured
Vhaeraun and smuggled him back to his mother and the rest of the Dark Seldarine.
The Second Seldarine War & The Sundering
The War on the Upper planes and within the Feywild still continues today. A tentative Alliance remains between the Seldarine and the Seelie Court of the Feywild, but in order to keep the Feywild itself from becoming a battle ground much as Elendor had done in the prior
War for the Heavens the Seelie Court have declined to aid the Seldarine more than they already had. Likewise, The Unseelie Court - not wishing to attract the ire of both their Seelie rivals and the Seldarine together is yet to have commit forces to aid their allies the Dark Seldarine. The Courts now sit in an uneasy state, split once more like they were before the prosperous times during Elendor's pre-summit period.
Reaction on Elendor
Eladrin “The Immortal”, former general for the Fey Alliance and the now leader of the Fey that remained on Elendor was conflicted in how to react to the sundering, as were many others who stayed.
Eladrin has initially felt betrayed by
Corellon, for seemingly giving up on those who called Elendor home with out any real fight against the decrees of the
King-That-Never-Was. At the same time, he was an avid opponent of
Lolth and had fought her in the original Seldarine war as a foot soldier in Corellon's army. Those who remained on Elendor now found themselves caught between a metaphorical rock and a hard place; A state of both betrayal and powerlessness. Today on Elendor, The Day of Sundering is remembered within
The Eladrin Empire as a day of national celebration and morning.
