Marco Portuez is a senior operative of the Order of Erdantia and a member of the Hawks Devision. He was the mentor of fellow operative Lena Arkwright while she was in training for the Hawks herself.

Apparel & Accessories
Marco usually wears a thick linen grey jacket over a beige shirt. On ceremonial occasions for the Order of Erdantia, Marco wears the red scarf with navy-blue border that marks a member of the Hawks Division who has trained another member to join the Hawks, and that member has completed their two years in the field.
Specialized Equipment
Marco carries a scimitar and a bow, both of which he excels at using. He is proficient in knife skills and can utilize those in combat often.

Personal history
Marco was born in the northern plains of the Kingdom of Erdantia, in Timra. His mother, Annabelle Portuez, was a senior soldier in the Erdantian standing army. She wished for him to join the military as well, and although he originally wanted a different career path, eventually consented, and proved to be a formidable fighter. He chose to join the National Scouts, the organisation in Erdantia's military dedicated to mapping out warzones and carrying out reconnaissance. After receiving training, he quickly became well respected with his stealth and quick thinking - skills highly prized within the National Scouts. Some time later, he was invited to join The Order of Erdantia. He consented. He rose to the rank of Master and joined the Hawk division. After two years of service within the division, he took on Lena Arkwright to join the Hawks. Today he stands the finest bowman in the Order. He left the Order in the month of Loara, 1587 when Lena Arkwright had incriminating evidence planted against her by Gaenic double-agent Peter Newstey. He did so to protect her from the other operatives of the Order of Erdantia, who now sought to kill her. Lena was proven innocent in 1588, and both of them returned to service in the Order a month later, all ranks and status restored, and within another three months were sent out to an operation in Eserae, both of them taking a major role in the annexation.
Education
Marco has received training for the National Scouts (as a marksman), where he was taught reconnaissance and cartography, skills that proved useful in his career in the Order. He has received full training for the Order of Erdantia, and then the the Hawks Devision. At a young age, Marco was taught archery, knife combat, and hand-to-hand combat by his mother.
Employment
Marco has been employed within both the National Scouts and the Order of Erdantia, where he became Lieutenant and
Red Scarf rank respectively.
Intellectual Characteristics
Marco is very quick thinking and intelligent. It was these qualities that both made him so respected within the National Scouts and got him admitted into the Order of Erdantia.
