Ulric Tyler is the ruling monarch of the Kingdom of Erdantia, a superpower in Orlend.

Personal history
King Ulric Tyler was born in the year 1551 in Drago, the capital of Erdantia. He was raised in luxury, becoming King at the age of just fifteen (1566). Almost immediately, he put forwards several reforms, including changing the law enforcement system of Erdantia and forming the Order of Erdantia. He also withdrew troops from Gaen, redirecting them towards the Duchy of Atlin and beginning the Erdantian-Atlinian war. It was believed that he planned on eventually making peace with Gaen, and indeed he attended several peace talks with the Queen of Gaen at the time, Wilmot Tyler. Things were going well, and a peace deal was in sight, when Wilmot became ill with typhoid and passed away. Her son, Nicol Tyler, was far less interested in making peace and ultimately caused Ulric to annex the Gaenic town of Eserae using operatives from the Order of Erdantia, beginning the War of Eserae.
Education
King Ulric was taught politics, swordsmanship, and military strategy by his father, King Sadon Tyler. He quickly grew to excel in all three, and was known for his ability to defuse any political situation, although he often resorted to military intervention as a political method.
Accomplishments & Achievements
King Ulric is known to have achieved much during his reign. He rejuvenated Erdantia's old tendency of expanding west, taking over many parts of the Duchy of Atlin. He improved the living conditions of the City of Renn and Drago massively, ordering construction of a well-developed sewage system in each case and making Renn into a council holding.
Failures & Embarrassments
It has been said that the result of the annexation of Eserae was easily foreseeable, and that Tyler shouldn't have resumed war with Gaen. Regardless, Tyler did win the War of Eserae and even succeeded in the annexation of Gaen, although at a heavy cost to his own soldiers and Erdantia's reputation across Orlend.
