Eleanoran

Eleanoran [El-an-or-an] Tabians are the most common race and the greatest number.

They reside in the center of the continent where the climate is temperate and foliage is rich and plentiful.

The Sigil of this country and race of people is of a leaf from an Eleanoran tree, most often depicted in silver or gold over a rich yellow-green.

COMMON JARGON

  • The Irish jargon and accent is moderate. They speak very proper compared to the rest of the world, and hardly slur.
  • Deans call this race "Norans"
  • Pirate Deans may call this race "Fleas"

    UNIQUE TRAITS

Most of the world's modern technology had been invented here before the Dean economic uprising. The capital Caoimhe (kee-vah) had been the central hub for world trade in not only textiles, but also education and ideas. Bright minds are often born from this area. They are high spirited and happy people, who love to throw parties and celebrate life.

    QUIRKS

Generally arrogant and bureaucratic with politics. Due to their deeply seeded religious beliefs, Eleanorans are obsessed with bloodlines and lineage.

"May your troubles be less, and your blessings be more. And nothing but happiness come through your door."

    APPEARANCE

Fur patterns are classically spotted between two and four colors. Solid is rare, but possible. Fur colors are natural. If the pigment exists on a rabbit, it could also as Eleanoran fur. They could have stripes inherited from the Northern race that tend to subside within two generations. Eyes may be any color and are very bright in saturation. They average in typical Tabian height and build types.

    CLOTHING AND COLORS

Eleanorans love color. They often favor the autumn pigments of the surrounding nature; yellow-green, deep red, gold, and orange. Feathers in the hair have meaning to aristocratic families from the capital, similar to a family crest. All white feathers for example, signify the royal family. Other races had adopted this custom in guilds, religious sects and companies.

    FOOD

Central Tabian life is bountiful. The fertile fields yield rich fruit crops and bird livestock. Local treats are the sweet sodabread, chicken and cabbage stew, potatoes that are the largest on the continent, and jelly squares made from various fruit, flower, and tea leaves!

    UNIQUE HOLIDAYS

River Run (Summer Solstice): Fishing festival when all enjoy a week along the banks of Pearl river and Rouscuise Run for the seasonal explosion of the codfish population. They travel from the cold northern sea south down the rivers, and rouse the lower bed sea life with them (oysters and pearls!!)

Praties Day (Summer): That's right, it's potato appreciation day!

Raspberry festival (Autumn): End of summer harvest of the raspberry fields and other summer crops. The celebration of Fall's arrival.

Royal Coronation (Autumn): The crowning of Eleanora's next King and Queen, preceded by their wedding.

    POLITICAL VIEWS AND ORGANIZATIONS

Although Eleanora's invasive pirate neighbors have hindered the country's ability to freely trade, they still pride themselves on their ability to cultivate a self sustaining economy. This has encouraged deep arrogant behaviors and ignorant attitudes, especially about how the other side of the world is still alive and suffering. The country is still doing well; so why worry about what you don't experience unless it is under your nose...?
  • Royal Family: Royal lineage of "Grace" that has been unbroken since its' beginning. Eleanoran Tabians believe the blood of the Diety Eleanora is passed through the generations of the Royal Family and is running through their veins.
  • Council of the Ternary: King Xavier's counseling assembly, a group of people with oligarchic undertones who influence the country the most in wealth, military, and religious power. They may or may not reside at the capitol.
  • Inner Sanctum: Religious sect who respect all life created by God. They have a temple in the center of the royal palace and are actively a part of King's Xavier's council table. They are scholars, scribes, educators, and spiritual leaders. The most devout are taught at the Parochial School of Garel, a temple within the glades of Northern Eleanora.
  • Caoimhe Special Operations: Also known as General Ridak's 'West Team'. The most skilled soldiers of the country that use unconventional methods and resources to get the job done.
  • Underground Eleanoran Rebellion and Coalition: Also Known as The Thieves Guild. Covert group of Eleanorans that have a secret alliance with Dea. The main headquarters is in Caoimhe, and have taken over Bexley, Eleanora's largest sea port. Admiral Draccena (Dean Pirate) has very close ties with this coalition, which has made it easy for Deans to conduct business within the country. They believe in the New World Order and the future of Dean rule.
