Northern

"The cold crystal mountains stand as silent guardians of forgotten secrets,

their ancient peaks whispering tales of the world's earliest dreams."

Northern region of Eleanora

The Northern race of Tabian are the smallest in number. They reside all over the world as they are able, however the most concentrated tribes are found in the far mystic north within the crystal caverns and villages of mountains and snow. The sigil for this race of people is the Ternary, a universal symbol in Tabian Religion.

UNIQUE TRAITS

  • Piety

Northerners are intensely connected to nature and the divine threads that have created the world and hold it together. Images of the Ternary and these threads are proudly expressed thorough out the northern culture in artwork, clothing, jewelry, tattoos and architecture.

They keep Tabian history and lore close to their soul and express it by voice and heart. The scholars whom record the sacred knowledge of Eleanora’s genesis are kept to the villages and temples of the north, then further copy the text for temples throughout the world.

  • Hot!

Their bodies are warmer than other races. When they are not visiting their cold homeland, they will prefer taking a daily dip into chilly baths, rivers and the sea. They may visit hot climates such as Gierra and the Southern Islands, but will be painstakingly uncomfortable during the voyage.

  • Conception

Pure Northern Tabians have a 0.5% chance to conceive life. This difficulty is thought to be of design and considered a holy privilege; not about the chance in itself. A baby born in the north is a sacred, precious event.

    BEHAVIOR

    Unhinged, or serene?

When you can see beyond the veil, the personality outcome is truely unpredictable.

Tabians with Northern blood can feel as though they are witnessing the world from a different dimension or perspective, where the ordinary rules of time, space, and reality no longer apply in the same way. They may perceive energies, symbols, or auras around people, or hear things that others cannot. It’s like stepping into a realm where deeper truths are accessible. There may be an overwhelming sense of peace or awe, accompanied by a recognition of the interconnectedness of all things. They feel connected to the universe, gaining insight into their purpose or the workings of the cosmos.

This could have benefits or adverse quirks for any individual that may experience this life.

    CAREER PATH

Even though their numbers dwindle, few will make use of their heritage to pursue a “divine” career. Instead, it is common for a Northerner to take on a role that takes advantage of the infertility such as perpetual companionship, medians, divinations, witches or travelers. If they do take on a holy career, a Spirit Guide (equivelent to the preist), monk or scholar is well suited.

    APPEARANCE

Northerners are always born with stripes. If another race couples with them and has a child, a few stripes may be seen on the child- but it is not passed on further to the next generation. Green or blue eye color is dominant, although this can stray if the Tabian has mixed heritage.

    CULTURAL CLOTHING

The heavy Northern Tabian attire is deeply woven into the identity of the people- offering both protection and a connection to their heritage. The weight of the furs gives a sense of solidity with the earth. They move with grace despite the bulk; a testament to their resilience and reverence for the untamed wilderness that test their existence.   Robes are layered with insulating materials between them of durable fabrics. They are dyed in deep, earthy tones— forest greens, rich browns, and muted grays— that blend seamlessly with their natural surroundings. Intricate embroidery or symbols are sewn into the edges.

    POLITICAL VIEWS AND ORGANIZATIONS

In general, the Northern Tabian has little care for the political views of the world. They are focused solely on the spiritual and personal aspects of existence, offering guidance for inner peace, moral development, and connection to the divine without seeking influence or involvement in the affairs of governance.   They advocate for a life of personal and community responsibility. Their deep inner work encourages others to ensure that their spirit remains untouched by the turbulence of politics and focus instead on building a peaceful and harmonious living.   They believe all forces of the world work together for a greater purpose, including the 'scary' ones.   For information about religious sects, temples and Spirit Guides, read about Religion
