Jonalee Waldelied

When I sign you my ballads and tell you my stories, I want to evoke in you all that I saw and felt - I cannot do this with something I heard from someone else. To be my greatest epos, it has to be my own!
Jonalee Waldelied, is a young and adventurous bard travelling the lands of Copperwynn to find inspiration for a grand epos she wants to compose.   Jonalee is in her early twenties with long auburn hair, usually bound back into a bun and a slightly rounded face with a generally friendly and curious look. Her height and stature are average for someone of Bealuki origin, meaning she is generally about a hand width smaller than most Gazeranfolk women she meets.   While travelling Copperwynn, she tries to wear practical clothes fit for long marches and wild areas. Nonetheless her originally pristine clothes are barely showing signs of bein worn making it obvious how little experience she still has. Jonalee prefers clothes with an earthen tone and always wears a dark green bandana with small silver metal plates around her neck.

Motivation

Jonalee is a fully trained bard but had little success in Bealuki so far. She wants to write a grand epos and believes she should experience the necessary details herself. Due to her fascination with stories about the wild Gazeranfolk and the mysterious Copperwynn Magic Drain she decided to write the greatest epos about these lands and their legends.

Experiences in Copperwynn

Jonalee arrived in Copperwynn first at West Copperwynn Outpost, where she joined a merchant's group with the goal to Gunnard's Greens. Her first encounters with a relatively lawless area were met with a mixture of apprehension and curiosity. It was here, were she first met several Gazeran that were essentially indebted into dangerous and labour intensive work.   She would go on to travel towards Gunnardstetten where she formally met several officials in the Gunnard's Greens organization. Jonalee was surprised about the way the Gazeran were treated and was constantly warned, that a lone woman should not endanger herself by venturing into to the wild areas.   When visiting a festival of the Gazeran in the outskirts of Gunnardstetten, she for the first time encountered some Gazeran with a degree of independence. One of these would be the great Taka Ma'rat Danara of the Orceweyt, the Wise Shaman Mother who immediately took a keen interest in this young, adventurous and apparently open minded woman.   Ultimately, Jonalee was offered to accompany the clan of Danara of Ocreweyt for a time, to experience the culture of the Gazeran and their lands first hand. Against all warnings from the Gunnardstetten officials, Jonalee accepted and began tarvelling with the Gazeran.
