Clown Kings
A gang of murderers and extortionists that operated out of Gameria's 3rd Level in the early 900's. Inspired by earlier psychopaths like the skin guy Willard Grimsbane, they donned fancy suits and face paint to intimidate anybody foolish enough to challenge their authority.
At the height of their power in they controlled several of the most impoverished neighborhoods in Gameria, shaking down the locals for gold and disappearing any outsiders foolish enough to step into their turf. In 931 their small empire started to fall apart as a new gang of hawkers known as Blood, Bath & Beyond stormed into their turf and took over much of their former domain. The Shroud, long suspicious of the Clown Kings for rumors of occult rituals in connection to the disappearances, seized the opportunity and apprehended the remaining members for questioning at Shroud HQ in Kanara. The Clown Kings were effectly disbanded by that time, but a couple members managed to escape into the shadows to laugh another day.
