Lord Meritas Attwell the Youthful
Meritas Attwell was a Gaulvistan adventurer and minor lord. He was born the second of four children in Hagaña to his mother, a laborer, and his father, a soldier. He was inspired by tales of his distant uncle to take up a life of adventuring when he was quite young, and some years later met the novice wizard Heifin Shannodell, who became his fast friend. After his 946 defeat of a kobold cult dedicated to the sleeping blue dragon Asafediel, he received a parcel of land from the duke of Greshoram in 946 and shortly after began developing it into the village of Lightbrook, which was officially founded in 948. That same year, he married the academic Kennera Autain, with whom he had one son, Merek Attwell. He passed away of illness at the age of 67.
