Lord Merek Attwell

Merek Attwell was lord of the small Gaulvistan village of Lightbrook from EL 974 to 999. His father, Lord Meritas Attwell the Youthful, had left him a substantial sum of money won from his adventures, which Merek did little with. He contented himself with the numerous books which fill the manor, earning him the nickname "Lord Attwell the Simple."
Particularly in light of his handling of the situation with Evanora Serger, he was criticized by some denizens of Lightbrook as too nonconfrontational, as many of the villagers were concerned that if a substantial problem should arise, he would not be equipped to handle it. Merek abdicated in late fall of 999.
Merek's wife was Lady Thea Attwell and his children, born in 971 and 976 respectively, were Rowan and Pauline Attwell. The entire family was lost to the Underdark when Lightbrook was collapsed during the Eventide.
