Dragon
Dragons are among the most ancient and powerful magical beings in Ekaia. According to legend, they were originally created by Noveakrin and given the gift of fire by Kishike. As they grew in power, they acquired four other breath weapons: lightning, poison, acid, and ice. Humanoid tradition holds that these breath weapons were blessings given by other gods, while draconic tradition holds that they were mastered via sheer force of will. All metallic dragons are committed to good, while chromatic dragons are committed to evil.
They answer to the Simrae Bahamut and Tiamat, the king of metallic dragons and queen of chromatics, respectively. These demigods are the children of Noveakrin and his mate Nareszcie.
Metallics
Brass
Brass dragons breathe poison and make their lairs in hot, dry places. They are generally gregarious and talkative, and favor company, as well as hoard items with which they can make conversation, such as sentient swords and bottles containing genies. They are enemies of blue dragons.
Bronze
Bronze dragons breathe lightning and like to lair in coastal areas. They are adept swimmers and strategists and like to loot sunken ships.
Copper
Copper dragons breathe acid and dwell in rocky uplands. They favor precious metals and stones as hoard items and are known to be lighthearted and oftentimes facetious.
Gold
Gold dragons breathe fire and live in most any beautiful, ancient place. They are known to be very reserved but great in wisdom. They are not picky regarding hoard items and are sworn enemies of red dragons.
Silver
Silver dragons breathe cold and live in similarly cold places. They are fascinated by humanoids and are very sociable.
Chromatics
Black
Black dragons breathe acid and dwell in swamps. They are long-lived and enjoy physical relics of civilizations and peoples they've outlasted, and are numbered among the most evil-tempered and sadistic of dragonkind.
Blue
Blue dragons breathe lightning and live in deserts, badlands, and other rocky areas. They love gems, especially sapphires, and are highly cunning and methodical.
Green
Green dragons breathe poison and live in forests. They enjoy taking sentient creatures as hoard items and entertainment. They are treacherous and sharp.
Red
Red dragons breathe fire and lair high up mountains. They are the most powerful of chromatics and perhaps of all dragons. They love wealth for its own sake and are highly conceited and disdainful. They despise gold dragons.
White
White dragons breathe cold and live in arctic regions. They have been observed to immortalize their fallen enemies by encasing their corpses in ice as trophies. They have been noted as the least crafty of dragonkind, but their tempers are easily whetted and they have long memories.
