Like all orcish groups, the Bloodaxe Clanhold is ruled by the one who inspires the most fear and holds the most power.
Defences
The Bloodaxe Clanhold is surrounded by spiked stone walls which bear the skulls and corpses of those who oppose the warchief's rule. In addition, it has a powerful and brutal force of violent orcish warriors that is supplemented by the remaining forces of the subservient crimelords.
History
Formerly known as Valendale, the Bloodaxe Clanhold was a prosperous community that fell prey to the influence of local crimelords after they received funding from the Crimson Dragons to attempt to steal some of their magic items back from the Dark Druid. Not more than a few years later, the town was swallowed up by crime. No formal ruler was truly in power, the power was held by various drug dealers, gang leaders, and various other unsavory individuals who had the coin to bribe and buy the rights to parts of the city. Almost 200 years later, during the height of the Varahosst's Host adventuring party's power, Raxtas, with the help of Simon Mockwell, was able to strategically eliminate all of the opposition forces to one crimelord allowing him to take rule of the city. This crimelord, Tharn Bloodaxe, was the leader of the orcish Bloodaxe Murder Guild. With his newfound absolute power over the city, Tharn quickly slew any who voiced opposition to his authority and then took over the central keep. A few months later, the city ceded from the Archduchy of the Dales and was renamed to the Bloodaxe Clanhold.
