The Kingdom of Silver Waters

The home for Water Elementals and their related people within The Elemental Plane. Divided between two locations, the snow-laden Surface Kingdom, and the sprawling Sea Kingdom, both parts of the nation work in tandem in order to defend each other from threats both political and environmental in nature.   It took many decades and rulers for the two lands to work together, as in the old days of the kingdom they had divided themselves between their two halves, but after endless, minor civil conflicts, the current two rulers of either side, Queen Brynhildr Isøks of the surface and Queen Rudr Sjøsprøyt of the sea, found peace and togetherness in both land and each other, with the two halves united by their marriage and subsequent rule for the past 30 years.   Much like any kingdom, the Silver Waters were founded by a titanic Elemental known as a Progenitor, those who act like gods for the people. The Silver Waters worship Typhon, also known as Leviatan, a massive sea beast who lies within the deepest cavern of the deepest ocean, surrounded by whirlpools and intense currents. However, they are benevolent and often send their regenerating scales towards the icy reefs at the shores of the Silver Water land to benefit their spawn.

Structure

Both on the surface and in the sea, the Queen's rule over the land in entirety, but due to the vastness of their territory, there are several lower-ranking politicians, Dukes and Margraves in the long run, who are titled as Ice-Lords/Isherre on the surface and Reef-Lords/Revherre within the ocean.

Culture

On the surface, life can be hard and challenging, so the Water Genasi that live there, occasionally referring to themselves as Snow Genasi to set themselves apart, have grown to be hardy and resourceful people, using whatever they can from their natural elements and the creatures that thrive there to live. This is not dissimilar to life in the sea kingdom, but the challenges are different. Where the surface folk deal with harsh weather and the disadvantages of the cold on materials, those in the water struggle to fend of gargantuan creatures along with the sometimes catastrophic changing of the tides, lending them to malleable strategies and clever fighters.

Public Agenda

The Kingdom of Silver Water wishes to provide for its people, as well as bring unity to the elements, either through the way of allegiances or total control. For now, they seek peace, as they see it as possible, but are more than willing to use the latter option.

Assets

The name 'Kingdom of Silver Waters' isn't just a title. Within the waves, ice reefs are eroded and tossed around by the waters, cleaning and refining the veins of silver they have within them, along with the greater veins within the rocks they're attached to. Alongside that, there are numerous unique fish within the oceans of the Silver Waters, and the surface kingdom has snow fruits and bark that are unique as well, even separate from the material realm country of Laputa

Demography and Population

All of the Silver Waters are populated by Water Elementals, or at least everyone has some Water Elemental heritage. This can take many forms, resembling many of the races that are present in the Material Realm, but they are Water Elementals or Water Genasi at their core.

Military

The military for the Kingdom of Silver Waters is unsurprisingly strongest as a navy. Not only does their natural connection with the water give them a leg up in managing heavy storms on boats, but their abilities mean they do not even need to be aboard those boats when the time to strike is upon them. As mentioned with the special guards, they are also skilled at both endurance battles and also skirmish tactics, with both current Queens being masters of combat and strategy who have lived through at least 50 years of hard battles.   It isn't a mandatory career, but many follow it anyways, seeking to prove themselves gloriously.

Religion

The Progenitor that the Silver Waters worship is the titanic sea-serpent, Typhon. Also named The Leviatan, it's a massive monster, that allegedly created the waters of the Elemental Plane by shedding its scales after wrapping itself around the planet several times over.   They are said to sleep in an intentionally reduced state at the bottom of the deepest ravine in the deepest ocean, surrounded by rapid currents and wild whirlpools designed to keep intruders out, but also to spread their scales across the ocean to gift them to their faithful and also to purify the waters when needed.

Foreign Relations

None of the nations within the Elemental Plane are at peace with one another, but the Silver Waters are the most neutral to all of them. They keep up good relations with their direct neighbor, the Platinum Earth, and are closest to the Golden Winds, as the sea routes they possess are one of the only ways to the nation. They are most adverse with their elemental and directional opposite, Copper Fires, but are still in a momentary truce at least, especially as one of their territories, the Isle of Steam, is dealing with a pandemic of random kidnappings and Vampiric assaults.

Agriculture & Industry

Under the waters, the people of the Silver Waters mainly engage in forging and artifice, with the wealth of silver and magic materials found in the deep ocean. On the surface, there's a larger focus on surface mining as well as lumber industries and growing the unique snow fruits and vegetables in the harsh environment.

Trade & Transport

The Kingdom of Silver Waters does most of its trade via water routes, unsurprisingly, although most of this isn't from the sea kingdom. Rather, surface kingdom ships and port cities will send out materials and take part in trades, although they will be stocked and aided by sea kingdom citizens. They mostly do trade with the Golden Winds, although the Platinum Earth cherishes their natural delicacies, and even their biggest opponent, Copper Flames, utilize their hard-to-melt ice and frost to keep their metallic inventions as well as their food nice and cool.

Education

There is a basic standard of education within the Silver Waters, but that mostly applies to the sea kingdom. While there are a few institutions on the surface realm, most of their study is done through practice and education by a family member or mentor.
