Joedofe Hundra (Joe-dofe Hun-dra)

Lord Joedofe Hundra of Vacana Hundra

Joedofe Hundra was born in the year -30 to King Harald Hundra of Vacana. He lived a luxurious life in Vacana and was eventually put forwards to represent the kingdom in the Dundell. Despite his calm nature and respected reputation, Joedofe Hundra had a darker side, a part of him that always felt it was he destiny to rule Ecoth. From an early point in his life, Joedofe would make this his primary goal.

Early Years

Being a prince, Joedofe had access to near infinite wealth and was given the highest of education. Despite this his Father was rarely present, and with no living mother Joedofe only had the Cytonknic servents and the king's advisors/teachers for company most of the time in his earlier years. This created a detachment between father and son that helped catalyse his future actions. One person Joedofe did see a lot of though was Miss Marka Doez (the daughter the wealthy Lord Doez) who Joedofe was arranged to marry since he was five. The fathers would encorage their children to play together and whilst Marka grew feelings for Joedofe, Joedofe never truely grew feelings back. Another person Joedofe knew from his early years was a man called Conin who would later become King Hundra's top advisor. The two boys were of a similar age and saw a lot of each other since they were both connected to the king.

Joedofe grew up in a time of relative peace but loved learning about and understanding the First Ecothnic War, where the The Dundell had defeated the The Old Dynasty and taken control of Ecoth. Once he was old enough to understand it Joedofe becone heavily interested in politics dreaming of one day sitting in the Dundell and uniting Ecoth under his vision. Despite his desire to serve in the Dundell, Joedofe quickely learned the system was weak and corrupt as he looked further into events such as the Merchants Strike and how the government had delt with ex Dynasty loyalists. He came to the conclusion that the government needed to be reformed, which was not an uncommon idea at the time. His father however belived the Dundell was practically flawless so rather than argue with the king, Joedofe kept his oppinions to himself, executing his plans in secret.

Representative in the Dundell

In the year -10 the Representative for Vacana in the Dundell was brutally stabbed in his bed by an unknown assassin. This left a gap for a new representative to replace him. Although hesitant at first, King Harald Hundra decided to send Joedofe in his place. Concerned for his only son's safety after the recent murder King Hundra also sent a detachment of the Vacanan Guard and an enhanced Cytonknic called PLOZ-19 to protect Joedofe. King Hundra even whent to the lengths of enhancing PLOZ19's strengh beyond the legal limit and assigned the cytonknic as a bodygaurd for Joedofe.

Joedofe would then sereve in the Dundell for 10 years throughout which he tried to push for the creation of a unified military force for the Dundell. He formed the militarists group who campained for the creation of this army but his goals were unpopular amoungst other representatives and his group eventually dispanded when the last of its members left him. Joedofe's main opposition was from another representative called Sinric Leroy who saw his ideas as absurd and held herself as a pasafist. This rejection and lack of support is what made Joedofe an easy target for the The Second Dynasty to use for their retern.

Joedofe and the Second Dynasty

The Second Dynasty began to emerge from hiding in the north at the year 0. Although Joedofe was not essentual for their return he was their main informant from within the Dundell. Fed up with the corruption and inefficiency of the Dundell Joedofe told the Second Dynasty everything they needed for their attack, during which Joedofe fled the scene for Vacana.

Upon his retern though he found his father wanting to fight the Dynasty. Unable to argue with the King, Joedofe was forced to fight the Second Dynasty rather than make peace like he wanted to. The Battle of Vaccana was brutal and saw the death of King Harald Hundra. Joedofe was forced to flee into hiding, as an enemy of The Second Dynasty.

Exile

Joedofe spent his exile with his Cytonknic PLOZ-19 and his engaged Marka Doez where he spent much time working at low paid jobs and constantly on the run from the Dynasty. He would also keep a good connection with his old friend Conin who had been made a pupprt ruler of Vacana by Visko Malow of The Second Dynasty. Joedofe useed this connection to plan his retern. Joedofe would spend an entire year in exile constantly being hunted by the Dynasty before he reterned to Vacana with the aim of retaking his throne.

Retern to Vacana and Joedofe's Empire

In the year 1 Joedofe reterned to Vacana City overthrowing the Second Dynasty's force in the city. He did this by having Conin turn the Vacanan Guard into enhanced Cytonknic over the corse of his exile and activating them upon his retern and surprising the Dynasty. Insted of crowning himseld king of Vacana though, Joedofe declared himself Emperor of the Vacanan Empire, a new entity which he vowed would destroy The Second Dynasty and bring a new age to Ecoth.

Despite the sucsess of the Vacanan Guard, Joedofe wanted an army capeable combating the entire Second Dynasty which was an organisation which ocupied the entirety of Ecoth so he ordered for the ordinary citicens of Vacana also be turned into enhanced Cytonknic too so he could command them at his will. Marka Doez opposed this idea, telling Joedofe his actions were unethical and cruel as becoming a Cytonknic meant losing all free will and emotions. Joedofe responded by having her killed as he no longer had need nor feelings for her.

With an army infinitly loyal and almost infinitly strong, Joedofe began to expand his teritories to neighboring kingdoms. He began the constructin of Hundra's Wall along the western peninsula, taking the kingdoms he needed for it to pass through to ensure his empire was defended. Joedofe's actions became a growing concern for the Second Dynasty but Emperor Rezide did not act on Joedofe's growing power through fear of his Cytonknic army and the instability of his own forces. Instead Rezide sent a letter asking for peace between the two powers but Joedofe never replied.

Battle of Vacana and the end of Hundra's Empire

In the year 3 exiled Dynasty general Visko Malow grew tired of Rezide's failure to act upon the growing threat Joedofe Hundra presented and organised a Coup, overthrouwing Rezide and taking control of The Second Dynasty. Malow then ordered an immidiate attack on Vacana. The Second Dynasty marched west to the Vacanan Empire and the two sides first met at Hundra's wall in the Battle of Hell's Gate.

In this battle Joedofe once again employed questionably ethical tactics such as using Cytonknic women and children as soldiers to demoralise the enemy. Despite this the Second Dynasty still had a large numbers advantage and so broke through Hundra's Wall. However, that is what Joedofe had predicted and prepared for. As the Second Dynasty's main force marched towards Vacana's capital, Joedofe deployed a flanking force from Garlacose which destroyed the Dynasty's supply line and began marching towards Capswold, the capital of the Second Dynasty, pillaging towns and villages as they went.

Trapped between Joedofe's flanking force and Vacana City the Second Dynasty decided it was best to lay siege to the City but Hundra had learned from his father's mistakes at the first Battle of Vacana. Hundra had ordered ditched be dug around the city to prevent siege towers and ladders whilst also constructing more trebuchets to bombard the Dynasty's formations. Once again though the Second Dynasty managed to use their superior numbers to push through Hundra's improve defences.

As the battle played out before him something changed in Joedofe's mind and by the time the Second Dynasty had reached him, he had opened the gates and surrendered. He demamded his forces stop fighting and jump from the cliffs just outside the city walls. As Cytonknic they had no other choice but to do as he said. The entire poplulation of the city and the Vacanan Guard leapt from the cliffs into the raging sea below. Joedofe's last action was to follow.

Ecothnic historians will never truly know what motivated him to do such an act, but one thing is for definate, he shaped Ecothnic history like no one else in his chaotic lifetime...
