Introduction:

Tessa Galvin is the current president of the United Federation of Humanity. She has been the federal president for two years. While she is not as popular as the federation's previous president, she has found support from people across the political spectrum.

Early Life:

Galvin was born on Tirulia. She became interested in politics at a young age, and wanted to become the planet's governor. Her dream was achieved at the age of 28 when she was elected as the governor of Tirulia. While she only served one term, she quickly become popular in the federation due to how quickly she helped to improve her home world. She ran for president at the age of 39 but was defeated by Zaer Meldon, who went on to serve two terms and become known as one of the federation's most popular but also most controversial presidents. Galvin did not give up however, and ran again 5 years later with Thalt Taligul as her choice of vice president. While it was a close race, Galvin won the election.

Presidential Career:

Galvin is known for her policies focusing on reducing crime and pollution on less developed federal worlds like Tirulia. While this has granted her support from the residents of these world, many federal citizens that live in highly developed urban environments disapprove of her actions. However, many of these citizens do approve of Galvin's public support for large corporations, which significantly contribute to the federal economy.
In regards to the relationship between the federation and the Illithid-Dilug Intergalactic Empire of New Rocheron, Galvin has taken a friendly approach and has attempted leave the two superpowers on friendly terms. While this move was slightly controversial, most federal citizens would rather live in peace than in a time of war.
