Long rest at Church of the Silver Flame, Cauldron. Cadrug dreams of his mother, Graal the Witch being attacked by a small bony claw bursting from the ground.

Gwen Frost and Tim investigate Lord Vervil Ashmantle and the Last Laugh Thieves' Guild:

• The Last Laugh do the dirty work of the rich and powerful in Cauldron - for the right price. It is possible to contact them via an agent who hangs around the Tipped Tankard Tavern.
• Lord Ashmantle is a prominent businessman in the region. His title is purely self-described and he does not hold any lands. He owns Kingfisher Sendings, a caravan and courier business that provides overland transportation for many of the region’s exports. He rarely makes public appearances - Ashmantle usually conducts business via underlings. Lord Mayor Severen ir'Navalant is not pleased that Ashmantle’s business is technically operated out of nearby Kingfisher Hollow, avoiding income taxes in Cauldron.

Sir Sercyl Ruphus d'Rosin knights Tim to the Order of Templar and presents him with a silver sword and other equipment and trappings of a knight of the Silver Flame.
Cadrug and Detlev d'Cannith return the children to the orphanage and release the other prisoners from the slave auction.
Corystan Pike gifts the party Pike Manor as thanks for her rescue. She plans to retire to Newthrone. The party hires a half-elf named Norm as groundskeeper to manage their new estate (for a price of 2 GP per month)

Barrakas 26

Morning

Returning to the Malachite Fortress, the party fights a mimic and collects a hoard of treasure. After hauling their loot to Pike Manor, they explore Jzadirune.
They find several more workshops and bizarre magical enchantments, before facing Yuathyb, the were-shark leader of the ratmen kidnappers. Tim is bitten. After a battle in the great gnomish factory, the party is victorious and continues dungeon delving.
Most of the remaining rooms in Jzadirune are ruined workshops or bunkrooms - however the last door reveals an alchemy lab with a rampaging Fire Elemental all too eager to be freed after decades of captivity...
