Defences
Approximately 750 guardsmen comprise the Cauldron City Guard - a well trained militia. A wall surrounds the city, with only four gates (one facing each cardinal direction).
Industry & Trade
As a trade hub, it is well situated between Q'barra's natural resources (Dragonshards, Darkwood, minerals, etc), the Talenta Plains (livestock, including dinosaurs!), and the Mror Holds (Dwarven craftsmanship, banking, and precious metals). Commerce flows through Cauldron, and it exports goods south towards the Dragonreach Sea, along the Torva River.

Four major avenues circle the town: Ash, Lava, Magma, and Obsidian Avenues, each considered its own district.
The entire city slopes towards Crater Lake in the center.
Ash Avenue

Founded by Surabar Spellmason, a legendary dwarven wizard.
Geography
Located in the Endworld Mountains in the pit of an extinct volcano, this highly defensible locaction allowed Cauldron to survive for centuries in a harsh wilderness region, surrounded by hostile lizardfolk and other enemies. Crater Lake fills the center of the city - rainwater collects and is magically purified by magewrights.
Climate
Warm temperate jungle region. Rainy seaons occur during the winter months.
Natural Resources
Cauldron's primary natural resources are the mines beneath the volcano. Eberron Dragonshards are plentiful, as are obsidian, and diamonds.
Plantations in the surrounding hills offer sugarcane and coffee.
