Join the Reclamation Guild

General Summary

Reclamation Guild Advertisement

Come for the adventure, stay for the galifar! The Reclamation Guild of Vathirond is seeking adventurers and wayfinders from any of the major nations for active employment with the guild.   Join us in Vathirond in Zarantyr, 998YK to try out for the guild. Tryouts will be held on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th of the month!   We are seeking all able-bodied Humans, Dwarves, Gnomes, Half-Elves, Half-Orcs, Halflings, Shifters and Warforged of various backgrounds to take up positions in the guild.   Applicants must be combat-ready, and must be willing to venture into the Mournland. If hired, all lodgings and meals will be paid for by the guild, and guild members will be paid per expedition.
This advertisement was found throughout Khorvaire throughout 997YK, it was actively passed out by House Orien and even posted in the Korranberg Chronicle   The Reclamation Guild story arc is designed to be a series of one-shot [expeditions] with slow level progression that pushes character story through interaction with the world of Eberron both during and in-between sessions. Characters enter this world through the guild try-out one-shot.   Once they are officially members of the Reclamation Guild each expedition is designed to be a self-contained session lasting between 4 - 6 hours of gameplay.

Character Information necessary for Reclamation Guild

When you create a character in Tales of Eberron there is a series of information you'll want to have considered.
National Identity
What nation of Khorvaire do you hail from? If you're willing to give me the literal town/city, even better.   In Eberron your national identity is more important than your racial identity, unlike many other DnD campaign settings. It affects language and belief and sometimes your racial sub-type and language as well as how you relate to other groups. Once you've settled on a nation, how do you relate to your nation, region, or settlement?
The Chaos of the Last War
What you were doing during the "last war", what is your opinion of the Mourning?   On Olarune 20, 994YK (A little less than 4 years ago) the nation of Cyre was consumed in a magical cataclysm now known as the Mourning. The cause of the Mourning remains unknown, and many fear that it was a consequence of the extensive use of war magic. Shock and fear brought the nations to the negotiating table, and the Last War came to an end in 996 YK (literally 2 years ago) with the Treaty of Thronehold. (See: Treaty of Thronehold)   Almost every character will have lived through the Last War in some respect even if you didn't see fighting. How did that affect who your character is today?
Line of Work
Class isn't really your job, how did you make a living before traveling to the try-out, why did you leave? Please tie this into your chosen background.
Motive for joining the guild
What lead you to apply to the Reclamation Guild: Why did your character end up here, and what are you seeking from this employment?

Before attempting to join the Reclaimation Guild how did your character make money?   Connections and personality. Give yourself two personality traits, I am requiring you guys to have two traits be them an ideal, bond or flaw. You can't have two of any one... and if you can't come up with them I'll be doing it randomly for you.
