The Black Rose
Many expectations are placed upon the Black Rose. She needs to be a deadly fighter, cunning spymaster and general alike. All the while being exceedingly beautiful, as is common for members of the Rose Riders. Although most people are unaware of the Rose's identity, her beauty is rumored to be without equal. Beautiful as a starry night sky, with grace and elegance, even the most experienced dancer would envy. Which makes her all the more deadly. Many a man - and woman - is bound to drop their caution upon witnessing such haunting beauty.
As the leader of an all-women's military unit, the Black Rose is always a woman herself. Above all, she must be loyal to the leader of the Grim Legion.
The Black Rose is appointed by the Dark One themselves, who also serves as the Rose's Patron.
The Black Rose leads the Rose Riders, which are part of the Grim Legion. She coordinates her subordinates and gathers vital information, which she relays directly to the Necromancer Tyrant. As head of the Rose Riders, she will also coordinate and, if necessary, lead the charges against enemy forces.
Apart from the Title and the command over the Rose Riders, the Black Rose is also bestowed with powerful magical items. Furthermore, she has access to powerful magics, courtesy of the Grim Legion's leader themself serving as her Patron.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
In the same way one does not just leave the Grim Legion, one cannot simply lose the Title of Black Rose. The only way to lose this title is to die - be it by the hands of a worthy opponent or by execution for betraying the cause of the one that bestowed her the title.
Aspect of Lust
The Title of Black Rose is comparable to the rank of General in other armies.

What a great article. I can almost picture the Black Rose leading an army into battle. I wonder, are they always human? Are there any initiation ceremonies or special funeral rites for them?
Thank you! No, they don't have to be human at all. I have to admit that sometimes I purposely leave out things/keep them not visible in the articles because my players follow my world. Incidentally, those things pertain to the initiation/funeral of the Black Rose. I'm going to update those articles eventually, but it's probably going to take a while for this one in particular.
Fierce beauty and tragedy. This article was a mood. Hope you don't mind if I featured you for January's challenge. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your work. <3
