Garenna was born in the Ashlands during the Age of Antiquity. Garenna was a powerful shaman in the service of Belegor, as all Oruki were during that age. We have a surprising amount of information about Garenna's early life. Born in a small village off the Big Blue Riva, Garenna was identified from an early age as someone with phenomenal magical potential. Trained in the ways of shamanism, Garenna became a mighty figure amongst her people during a period when it was not popular amongst the Oruki to have female leaders. She became a mighty tribal chief, and even her enemies learn to fear and respect her name.

Garenna reached early fame during the Third Troll War when the armies of the warlord Vikarim were surging against the Troll King Kidarfogrim. The troll onslaught was fierce, and their regenerative abilities threatened to overwhelm Vikarim's forces. Garenna used her healing magic to rejuvenate their forces en masse, leading them to victory. It was here that Garenna gained the moniker "The Great Healer".

After her fame Garenna went on a spirit journey, venturing into Elementium. Here she made what was later referred to as the Great Gambit, traveling to each of the elemental realms and gaining mastery over those elements from their Elemental Lords through strength, guile or deception. She returned a shaman with mastery over all of the five elements, which catapulted her into great power as a mighty warlord. She would use this power to unite a large portion of the Oruki clans, and they made war against the Dragon Coast.

After her death Garenna was raised to divinity as a Lesser God. Garenna is a deity uninterested in most Oruki affairs, preferring to aid only her most favored followers. As such she does not have a large following outside of Oruki society. As a Lesser God she later became partnered with the great warrior Krael'nos, and bore him the Black Oruki, who worship her fervently. She is very upset that a large portion of her people have left The Shadow, and is still more closely aligned with Belros Azul than Ozrek.

Certigas- Certigas is an organization of Oruki warlocks, evil druids and shamans that venerate Garenna above all others. Mainly found in the Ashlands, the Savage Lands, the Khakari Wildlands and the Dragon Coast, Certigas is an organization that holds a large amount of sway over the Black Oruki and those Oruki that still hold fealty to the Shadow. They preach the acquisition of power at all costs, and revere Garenna as the master of the elements and one who can grant them great power.
