The Coral Coalition

Founded not long after the unification of the United Provinces of Tamynia, the Coral Coalition is a guild based on triangular commerce, allowing each major city to buy and sell all necessary goods. Most of its operatives are based around the Coral Bay, hence its name. While most commerce takes place in naval form, the few cities not situated directly by the coast are still reached by the trade agreement. Each city part of the coalition, 5 in this case, has its own board of members, usually made out of 7 influential local merchants. Each board sets its prices for the goods in its care and manages transport as well as employment.
Such an economic model has allowed cities to focus on a single mercantile domain, thus ensuring their access to all basic necessities for their population.
While it is not state-run or financed, the Coral Coalition benefits from a place of privilege within political spheres. After what is nearing 200 years of financial success, it has gained a reputation and is now part of the economic and political status quo.
It is also worth noting that, with the astounding amount of work required to keep this agreement running and in time, the Coalition is one of the biggest employers in al of Tamynia.

Structure

Each city has its board of members; 7 local merchants who set the prices and organize their city distribution within the Coalition. All local merchants, artisans and farmers answer to their decisions, for fear of being left out of this very lucrative treaty.
Boards elect a representative who takes part in the Coalition's meetings, relaying information to their colleagues in order to receive instructions on the policies to adopt.

For our nation, by our nation

The Coral Coalition is responsible for the distribution of each city's goods. Being a somewhat recluse region, those goods would otherwise have very few trade opportunities, especially given the strained political relations Tamynia holds with the Republic of Menestia, the neighboring nation. In a replica of triangular commerce, each city has its specific goods, which are evenly distributed amongst the others.
