The process of making shadow weave was found by the Nightlanders fairly early on.

The most common use of this is to make cloaks. The Cloak of the Champion being one of the most famous made from this material. But like any textile any form of clothing or even blankets can be made out of this.
Industrial Use
The strands that are created are put into special looms that weave the fabric into bolts.
Refinement
The exact process by which the Conic Stain and Razor Grass grass are combined is a closely guarded secret. All that is known is that the razor grass is ground into a pulp. Then the stain is added in a special boiling process. What comes out are thick black strands of material.
