Olazure (OH-la-ZHER)

Olazure is the largest independant city-state on Emaul and the third-largest city on the continent, following Ringterel and Hallgerd.
Originating as a trading port city, Olazure facilitates trade between Ironhill and Baikall, acting as a conduit for most of the high-quality iron that makes its way from Emaul to Obeavos. The city's population is mostly a mixture of human and dwarvish, though it also has a large tiefling population as well.
Despite several attempts at colonization, Olazure has managed to remain independant of the Dravenforth Empire. While no direct military conquest has been attempted, there have been civil disturbances many believe to be the work of the Iron-Faced Army -- IFA, though Ringterel and Grand Emperor Erik Maculus have denied any involvement. Olazure has a strong standing military and provides protection for Ironhill, as well as trade convoys going into the Empire.
