Ironhill

A highly industrial mining town at the base of the Roughiron Peaks. Ironhill's population consists mainly of dwarves, half-orcs and tieflings, with smaller populations of humans and half-elves as well.
Ironhill began as a mining town, producing a vast majority of the major iron in Emaul. While it isn't the only source, the quality of iron mined from the Roughiron Peaks, as well as the sheer quantity, make it the leading producer of high-quality iron and steel in Dunaterra.
Sitting with the mountains at their back, a sheer cliff face ahead of them, and with a relatively narrow passage as the only means of access, Ironhill is extremely well-fortified and difficult to both beseige and assault. Because of this, Ironhill has easily ignored any attempts at aggression from both independant city-states and the Dravenforth Empire. The empire, realizing the position was not one to change in the near future, opens generous trade with Ironhill and provides security to the convoys to and from the nearby city of Obeavos, through which all trade to and from Ironhill is funneled.
