Roughiron Peaks

Large mountain range on the northern side of Emaul. The mountains have one of the largest deposits of high-quality raw iron in Dunaterra, and with many natural caverns and caves mining is easily facilitated. While not confined to a single side of the range, such as with the Greenridge Mountains, lack of secure trade paths through the Bitter Taiga means that only Ironhill can mine at an industrial level in a cost-effective manner.
Despite the ease at which the iron is reached, the mountain range is not without dangers. Monsters lurk both among the peaks and within the mines and caverns, with rumors of caves going so deep that abominations from the underdark occasionally find their way up. Because of this, monster hunters can often make a decent living claiming rewards for particularly troublesome beasts that have compromised mining operations.
