Inhabitants
The people live in small towns in the valleys and on the ridges, favoring houses built of wood and clay. In summer, they prefer large open rectangular dwellings to help with staying cool, while in the winter they live in smaller conical houses built over a central fire pit. They grow beans, corn, and squash and hunt game in the lush forests. The Hill People share many cultural practices with the folk of the Riverwoods and Floodmarshes to the north, but that does not prevent occasional skirmishes that arise from longtime rivalries. The Asragoro people, and their cousins to the north, the Asragun , are famed for their skills at stickball and for beautiful pottery and basket weaving.
