Tíþenk Apes
Tíþenk Apes or tíþenks1 are one of several species of apes found in Jarrak Forest in western Dragonía. They are the closest relatives of Jaarels and Útels in the animal kingdom.
Útel warriors patrolling the Reþokúl Wall -the southern boundaries of their civilization- sometimes encounter the apes, in which case they try to scare them away, as many believe tíþenks to be mischievous forest spirits.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Tíþenks are among the largest apes in Dragonía, and the most robust, so they generally spend more time on the ground than their cousins, only climbing trees to sleep in or to avoid danger. They mostly walk on two legs in a hunched position unless in a hurry.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Tíþenk apes eat virtually anything they can find, including fruits and nuts, tubers, small birds and rodents, eggs, insects and honey, though their diet varies somewhat between groups. For example, those near the coast of Ilkigit Sea to the south subsist mostly on mussels, crustaceans, starfish, seaweed and whatever gets washed up on the beach.

Geographic Origin and Distribution
Tíþenks are most common in the western parts of Jarrak Forest.
Average Intelligence
Tíþenks, like most Dragonían apes, can fashion simple tools from stone or branches for various things, which vary from one group to another.
