Borestown

The reemergence of Anderion the Cruel shook the foundations of the Morningold Mountains, awakening dormant volcanoes in its Eastern range. The eruptions of these volcanoes turned the area into what is now known as the Blasted Wastes. Borestown was once a significant mining complex around a modestly sized dwarven settlement, but the magma flows filled many of the tunnels, making the entire area significantly more dangerous. Most dwarves have abandoned the mine, even the dvergen, but in their place kobolds have moved in. The diminutive dragonkin seem to like the heat radiating off of the magma flows, and are quite used to less than safe living conditions. Whilte small kobold communities can be found in seemingly every crag and cave in the Blasted Waste, Borestown hosts their largest population by far. The hierarchy of clans is most prevelent here as well, as it is one of the few places where memebers of different colored scales interact on a regular basis. It is odd to say outright, but given some more peace and time together the stupid little beasts might develop into a full fledged society there.
