URF

Against such abominations, we organize our defenses on the principle that one strong and able mind can shield the many.
The United Russian Frontier extends from the AEU and grinds its borders with the VIC and OMNI. It is cold, bleak, and full of people who remember what has been rather than think about what will be.   The URF is an oligarchy state modeled after the old Russian Empire. It was built out of the ruins of the Russian Federation after many states not part of the Moscow boot rejected Moscow. Now, the URF is slowly trying to win back its former territories while trying to rebuild its lost power over the last three centuries.   When OMNI broke free, the Russian Federation suffered massive economic and Political turmoil. OMNI literally walked away with most of the Russian Factories and quickly secured many of the People with the technical skills to rebuild and manage those factories. To say nothing of the academic opportunities OMNI "promised," resulting in a massive brain and skill drain to Russia as it was.   The saving grace is that OMNI acted as a buffer to Kaiju for Russia, and the EU had no interest in the lack of threat that a Russian Civil War created. Ukraine offered help, but it felt more like salt in the wound.   Those who remained in Moscow were fiercely loyal to the Orthodox Russian State. However, oligarchs don't like to share, and fighting amongst these elite quickly happened until Alexander Uralvagonzavod, a NuType, was able to make himself the new CZAR of Russia. He managed to secure the power and allegiance of the remaining power players or killed his opposition. He turned those old-time ideals on to OMNI and the remains of other OMNI Countries.   Eventually settling a white peace with VIC as it emerged because OMNI was the bigger threat, the alliance with former territories and rivals hasn’t exactly gone smoothly, and both sides know they will be shooting at each other sooner rather than later.   The Czar is always an elected position but from his/her peers, peers being the riches and most powerful oligarchs . The Czar is supposed to be a lifetime term, but the Duma, an oligarch council, can always vote no confidence, and the State Council, the generally toothless popular representation, can force the Duma to make such a vote.   The current Czar is Alexander’s daughter, Anastasia Stepanova, who uses the Alias Nastya Nova as she works with SENTENIL at the moment.   NuTypes of the URF are powerful oligarch scions, products produced by the likes of Sukhoi, Almaz-Antey, Uralvagonzavod, Vertolyoty and Yakovlev   They are as much criminal as crime fighters in Eastern Russia's cold streets, but especially in Moscow.   The Space Program is a Hobbyist affair for the Oligarchs, so while they can put rockets on the Moon or wherever the question is, what are the Oligarchs' feelings about space this week rather than a real effort?

Culture

Russian culture (Russian: Культура России, romanized: Kul'tura Rossii, IPA: [kʊlʲˈturə rɐˈsʲiɪ]) has been formed by the nation's history, its geographical location and its vast expanse, religious and social traditions, and both Eastern and Western influence. Cultural scientists believe that the impact of the East was completely insignificant since the Mongols did not coexist with the Russians during the conquest, and the indigenous peoples were instead subjected to reverse cultural assimilation. Unlike the Scandinavian and more western neighbors, which have become the main reason for the formation of modern culture among Russians. Russian writers and philosophers have played an essential role in developing European thought. The Russians have also greatly influenced classical music, ballet, sport, painting, and cinema. The nation has also made pioneering contributions to science, technology, and space exploration.
