Corazón Santiago-Skye

Emigrated to Miami as a child; orphaned during the Second Crisis. Corazón joined Jade Falcon survivalist gang, living with two younger sisters for several years more. Numerous arrests for felonious violence led to a youth diversion sentence. Sisters were placed in foster care where one subsequently died due to criminal neglect. Whereabouts of second sibling unknown. The subject later appeared alone in Wildwood, FL. The FBI investigated for ties to Dorian Militia; no charges were filed.   Founding member of Florida State Fencibles self-defense compact. At invitation of Miami City Council members, organized and led armed occupation of seawalls and municipal pump stations during Hurricane Ivoire. Successful in bid to prevent Federal Emergency Management Agency from demolishing storm barriers to relieve flooding of wealthy neighborhoods. Later worked with Miami-Dade Sheriff to maintain civil order following county's short-lived secession.   Noted leader in coalition of Florida forces resisting both Federal and Christian States incursions. Subject’s diaries record persistent difficulty finding recruits and donations. Desperate, subject turned again to a model that had worked in Miami, collaborating with local Holnists to obtain relief supplies for distribution to civilians, ignoring warnings that their "foraging" was in fact theft. Attempted to rally support for Florida Independence Project among Central Florida survivalist circles.   Approached by the UCAA and recruited into the Red Panthers Strike Team. Joined her when it entered Los Angeles for the Battle Of LA. The Red Pathers were critical for the pacification of the Area for UCAA. However, LAPD COMPSTAT data indicates that Red Panther Watch Force may have been more successful than local law enforcement in curbing local criminal activity due to criminal actions, expelled from Red Panthers after LAPD SURGER unit published cutvids of subject meeting with recruiters for Sutter's Guard, a Holnist militia in the Area. Holnist attacked Organized crime members in the LA, and then was ambushed by the Red Panthers. The result was brutal amount of death for both groups.   Corazón Santiago-Skye received the nomination and promotion to NuTAC following her dismissal from the Military. Pravin Lal protested the action heavily but was overruled. As a result of the tension, Santiago-Skye and Lal are at odds with each other and the PCPD.   Corazón Santiago-Skye's heavy-handed approach to her job has led to her being collared by Pravin Lal, especially after she attempted to arrest a Cagnali Family Associate, which resulted in the deaths of scores of civilians and many of the soldiers in the crime organization, creating a power vacuum, one which requires patience and watching.
Corazón Santiago-Skye is married to Doctor Deirdre Santiago-Skye. The pair met during the Final Crisis in Florida, when the UCAA established connections with the areas around the Gulf of the Coalition. The two are an odd pair: a pacifist vegetarian and a militia soldier. However, the pair are often in quiet unity regarding self-reliance and environmental synergy.
