Second Crisis

"I was fifteen when the first kaiju made land in San Francisco. By the time tanks, jets and missiles took it down, six days and 35 miles later, three cities were destroyed. Tens of thousands of lives were lost."
—Raleigh Becket, Pacific Rim Part of the sky fall from the strange X’tachn debris was a collection of bacteria and small creatures frozen in suspended states due to the harsh conditions of space that were unaware hitchhikers on the comets that crash in the lower Pacific Ocean. Part of the enormous wave of material but mostly ice chunks that melted into the ocean. With no debris, the splashes were quickly ignored and then forgotten.
The bacteria rapidly evolved and was fed on, which began to mutate into new breeds and evolve to survive on Earth’s ocean. The creatures, then unknown at the time, mingle and breed and change deep-water oceanic life. Within a decade, enormous fish began to be hauled out of the water. These fish bring new life to the Fishing Industry and are seen less as a concern and more as a boon. As this new boom occurred Fishing practices began to become unstable again.
After the scaling of fishing increases, large creatures begin to move on to land, and many hostiles to humanity attack boats, seaside towns, and resorts. Most crabs like them are easy enough to deal with. Attention is muted behind the advancement of clean energy.
Larger creatures, violating the rules of third, begin to arrive, migrating deeper into the land causing problems. Coined Kaiju by NATO troops who began to handle the threat. Most the size of dinosaurs and not much bigger, tough, many survive at terrible depth and weapons on land do little.
However more and more of the X'tachn tech began to be put into weapons. Robotic tanks, machinal soldiers, and high yield explosives.
The Kaiju threat was slowly handled using advanced robotic Walkers and tanks a real victory for the Peace Keeper forces, until the DaiKaiju showed up.
DaiKaiju are massive, the size of the monsters from which their nicknames come from. Many are unique or rarely seen. They are the size of enite city blocks instead of buildings and have incredible defenses, from fire breath hot enough to melt steel to claws so tough they are like diamonds through combat steel. Normal weapons become increasingly inefficient when dealing with them.
Many nations begin to pour resources into stopping the creatures, no matter the cost. And with them came the next Crisis but also the solution.
