All the way down Report

General Summary

Deciding to leave Bali  for another time the Five Fingers of Dorwine continue on the quest to locate the geode mentioned in Wishart's Palimpsest. They decide to explore the shaft they first climbed down to discover the crypt because it seemed to continue well below Allgringthveit. This is also suggested by a poem they discovered within the crypt which talked of a dragon slumber deep below and secrets held.    But first the heroes need to work their way back through the catacombs. there they encounter a familiar foe - shadows and a vampiric mist, similar to those they once encountered whilst travelling to Formene. These particular versions prove to be slightly tougher but the heroes are able to fight their way through and back to the ladder in the shaft on the other side.    It seems deep. Things dropped down it make no noise and tentaive exploration shows no bottom. Undaunted Badalona Ailendogs decides to slide down, rather than climb down the ladder. Quickly he is out of control and unable to hold on any longer. He is in in freefall. To the very bottom of the ladder. A fall that leaves him unconscious and many of his possession, including David Greatsword, smashed beyond repair.    The rest of the party takes more than an hour to climb down. Luckily they are able to resuscitate Badalona.   They are then able to locate the underground river mentioned in the poem they read earlier and begin to follow it further into the depths of the earth. At a suspicious cavern the party spots a faint blue light. Alok Ravaralei and Cookie are sent forth to investigate only to be ambushed by some sort of underground worm that destroys Cookie and leaves Alok in mortal danger.
