Bali the dwarf was once the sole magic user in the town of Darknook. Pompous and vainglorious, Bali prided himself on his magical prowess and built himself a tower in his image on the outskirts of town.
Little did most people in Darknook know but Bali was the leader of Darknook’s necromantic cult, a shadowy group who practiced cannibalism and raided the village graveyard to create packs of ghouls that terrorised the woods around the town. This was just part of Bali’s plan as he was using the fear inspired by the ghouls to enhance his chances of becoming the mayor of Darknook, by positioning himself as a law & order candidate who could defeat the ghoul menace.
Unfortunately for Bali his scheme’s were uncovered and he was forced to flee the village to parts unknown.

Thrakam was employed by Bali as hired muscle for close to a year. When he fled Darknook in 4592 he abandoned her to her own fate because he adjudged her attempt on the life of Mehmen Ashid a complete failure.
Bali, the necromancer, was uncovered as the evil ringleader of a cannibal cult in the village of Darknook. He fled the village for parts unknown but still appears in the heads of his sworn enemies as a mocking voice in the night.

In the village of Darknook Bali had constructed a grandiose tower that featured his face as the front of the first story, his mouth as the door and his beard as the steps. Inside it had a third floor that was unusual - it appeared larger inside than out. Unfortunately the tower was razed by villagers after the dark secrets of Bali’s necromancy and cannibalism were revealed.
